Boyce Daniel Allison was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 East Valley Drive, Bristol, Virginia.4 He Boyce Daniel Allison, age 84, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born May 6, 1938, in Bristol, Va., a son of the late Garland and Dollie Katherine Brewer Allison. Boyce was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the Virginia State Highway Department. After retirement, Boyce worked for Pippin Florist. He was a member of the King Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd Scottish Rite and was a member of the Jericho Temple. Boyce was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Mickey Sue Harlow. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, JoAnn Icenhour Allison; son, Boyce D. Allison II; grandsons, Jonah Reece Allison and Parker Andrew Allison; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Icenhour and wife Annie, Johnny Icenhour, Leroy Icenhour and wife Barbara, Bobby Icenhour and wife Shirley, and Eddie Icenhour and wife Debbie; and sister-in-law, Shelby Cox and husband Dennis. Interment will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery.4 He was born on May 3, 1938 at Washington Co., Virginia; His obituary has a birth date of May 6, 1938.3 He married Mary JoAnn Icenhour on June 24, 1961 at Bristol, Virginia.2,4 Boyce Daniel Allison died on April 3, 2023 at Bristol, Virginia, at age 84.4

Norwood, 31, Route 5, was fatally injured about 10 p.m. Sunday in a traffic crash east of Carthage on Chestnut Rd. He was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m. at McCune Brooks Hospital. Born March 8, 1961, at Carthage, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Norwood, Route 5, he was a 1979 graduate of Carthage Senior High School. Employed as shop foreman at Grant's Auto Service, Carthage, he attended Bethany Baptist Church east of Carthage. Surviving in addition to his parents are a son Clayton Timothy Norwood, Sarcoxie; a daughter Ashley Jo Norwood, Carthage Route 5; a twin brother Terry W. Norwood, 1324 Olive St., and another brother James A. Norwood, 1116 Ash St. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Knell Mortuary. Minister Bob Lyttle will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. The family received friends at the home on Route 5. Friends may call at 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. in February, 1993.1
