She is survived by her husband, Donald Martin; daughter, Donna Jean (Henry) Diehl of Ft. Lauderdale; son, Ronald Craig Martin of Charleston; mother, Isabell Monk of South Charleston; sisters, Nancy Nelson of Malden and Betty Jo Arnold of Charleston; brother, Danny Monk of Sissonville; grandchildren, Ronni Kaye and Danielle Martin, Hunter and Megan Diehl. Funeral services will be Monday, June 2, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Randy Lanham officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. on May 31, 2008.³

Watkins Poff, 81, of St. Albans was delivered straight into the arms of Jesus December 21, 2011, at her daughter's home, after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's. Betty was a faithful Christian, a great mom, an awesome Mamaw and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved to crochet and share her creations with loved ones and at local craft fairs. She was the devoted wife of Boyd R. Poff for 61 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Boyd "Jug" Poff and his wife, Patty, of St. Albans, Steven Poff and his wife, Becky, of Dallas, Texas, and Billy Poff of Charleston; her daughter and caregiver, Connie Davidson and her husband, Scott, of St. Albans; her grandchildren, Matt, Philip and Steve Poff, Toni Cranford and Jeff Davidson; and six great-grandchildren. Celebration of Betty's life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Pastor David Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Gathering of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Special thanks to Kanawha Hospice, especially Scott, Peggy and Jennifer, for their dedicated, compassionate care in Betty's last days.      Eugene Elijah Chittum was buried at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Fairfax Co., Virginia.³ He was born on July 1, 1920 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^4,2 He married Ardith Mae Poff, daughter of William Dennis Poff and Elver Jeanette Johnson, on December 23, 1940 at Bedford Co., Virginia.^1,2 Eugene Elijah Chittum died on June 25, 2013 at Williamsburg, Virginia, at age 92.³ He Eugene E. Chittum, 92, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Spring Arbor. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ardith. He is survived by his daughter, Joy Longauer; son in law, Julian Pulley; adopted daughter, Marje Peterson; grandchildren, Mary K. and Bob Longauer; nephew, Jeff Hutchins; niece, Mary Ann Martin, and numerous cousins. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Fairfax Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank Spring Arbor of Williamsburg for care given while there and Hospice Community Care for comfort and support provided during his last few months. on July 1, 2013.³

     James Edwin Poff Mr. James Edwin Poff, age 85, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014, in Marshall County, WV. He was the husband of the late Catherine Yoho Poff. Mr. Poff was born on March 2, 1929 in Cadiz, OH, the son of the late Henry and Nora Carter Poff. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Poff was a retired ironworker for the Ironworkers Wheeling Local No. 549. James was a Christian by faith. Mr. Poff is survived by his children, Robert Giles and wife, Carol of Wheeling, WV, Cathy Geho and husband, Tim of Moundsville, WV and Jackie Poff of Bridgeport, OH; and his two grandsons, Brian Giles and Kevin Giles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Yoho Poff; a son, Ronald Giles; and a brother, Bill Poff. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at New Life Fellowship Church, Snake Run. Interment will follow in Carter Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home.² He was buried at Carter Family Cemetery #1, Rt. 604 Snake Run, Alleghany Co., Virginia.² He married Catherine E.
