Those who knew and loved Bucky will greatly miss him. Bucky was born in Ormond Beach, Florida on June 3, 1930 to the late Harley and Callie Walters. Bucky graduated with the Class of 1951 from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach. He became a life-long resident of Volusia County. He loved Stock Car Racing, as well as fishing and hunting with his grandson, Kevin. In his professional career, Bucky was a Master Plumber and Pipe Fitter and a member of the Local Union #295 of Daytona Beach for over 50 years. Mr. Walters was a family man who had very strong values, both for his family and country. He served his country during the Korean Conflict years and was a Proud American. While serving in the Army, Harley earned two Bronze Stars. Bucky is preceded in death by his loving wife Doris of 45 years, his parents and one son Tom. Surviving is his daughter, Nancy Kennedy, four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. All of his family and many friends who loved Bucky and will deeply miss him. Prior to working in coal mining, he worked in the timber industry. He was of the Protestant faith. Benny had made his home in Princeton for the past five years with his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Katrina Whitlow. In addition to his parents, five brothers, Larry Whitlow, Harry Whitlow, James Whitlow, Dean Whitlow and Houston Whitlow; and two sisters, Lois Whitlow Proffitt and Betty Jo Whitlow Jones preceded him in death. He served his country proudly and was a collector of Marine artifacts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Whitlow; one step granddaughter, Clarissa Ervin; four brothers, Harry, Houston, James and Dean Whitlow; and two sisters; Lois Proffitt and Betty Brumit. His survivors include his wife, Patricia Whitlow of Peterstown; one daughter, Amy B. Born Feb. 19, 1943, at Kellysville, he was the son of the late Robert and Alice Whitlow. He was of the Church of God faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was a retired industrial mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Houston Whitlow; and two sisters, Betty Jones and Lois Profitt. His survivors include his wife, Nancy Whitlow of the home; two sons, Dennis Whitlow and Eugene Whitlow, both of Ayden, N.C; two daughters, Tonya Whitlow and Andrea Whitlow, both of Ayden; stepchildren, Wanda Folks of Salem, Va., and Deborah Lucas, Donna McPherson, Beth Edwards and Michael Ward, all of Princeton; brothers, his twin brother, Larry Whitlow of Peterstown, James Whitlow and Benny Whitlow, both of Princeton and Dean Whitlow of Sciotoville, Ohio; one sister, Clarce Boseman of Ayden; and several nieces and nephews. She was employed as a coneing operator at the Celanese Corp., at Narrows, Va. Survivors include one son, William Seay; her father, Robert Whitlow of Kellysville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Frances Neal of Westminster, S.C., two sisters, Mrs. Anna Lois Proffitt of Princeton and Mrs. Clarice Boseman of Wilson, N.C; seven brothers, J. E. Whitlow and Dean Whitlow, both of Kellysville, James Whitlow and Bennie Whitlow, both of Princeton, Larry Whitlow of Peterstown, Harry E. Whitlow and Huston Whitlow of Glen Lyn, Va., one grandchild also survives. Interment will follow at the Oakvale Cemetery. on March 21, 1978.⁵

Born July 24, 1955 in Princeton, he was the son of Hazel Miller Thompson of Whitt's Road, Kellysville and the late "Charlie Bob" Thompson. He was a retired machine operator with Acme Wood Preserving, Inc. of Princeton with thirty-six years service. He was of the Baptist faith and had been a lifelong resident of the Kellysville area. James was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing as well as tending his garden. His four grandchildren were his greatest joy, watching them grown from infancy. Additional survivors include his wife of forty years, Theresa Marie Whitlow Thompson of Kellysville; one son, Jimmy Wayne Thompson of Kellysville; one daughter, Deanna Radford and husband William Lee of Cheesy Creek; four grandchildren, Garrett Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Jacob Radford and Hannah Radford; three sisters, Patty Clemons and husband Glen, Bendy Moore and husband Jake all of Oakvale, and Sandy Combs and husband Jimmy of Cashmere; and two brothers, Richard S. Thompson of Ballard, and Jerry Lee Thompson and wife Cindy of Falls Mills, Va. Burial will follow at the New Zion Cemetery, Rt. 3, Princeton. on January 26, 2013.³
