He was a former employee of the Norfolk and Western railway. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank Roberts, and four sons, Prof. D. F. Cannaday of Radford; Henry S., Alexandria; Charles E., Richmond, and Capt. F. W. Cannaday of Madrid, Spain. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon, and burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington. on January 3, 1936.5
