She was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Oil City to the late David and Florence Reed Vogus. She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church in Dempseytown, the Oakland Grange, the Red Hat Ladies, and later the Glamour Girls. She enjoyed yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are children, Judy Wood and husband Chuck of Nampa, Idaho, and David Dolby and wife Kelly of Dempseytown; a stepdaughter, Susan Keel and husband Steven of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Dawn, Heather, Jodie, Serena, Anthony, and Vicki; and eight great-grandchildren, Cody, Casey, Dustin, Zachery, Gabe, Kaleb, Noah, and Tristin; siblings, Don Vogus of Oil City, and Evelyn Maynard and husband James of Scottsdale, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Fred Dolby in 1968 and Fred Dunlap in 1986. There will be no visitation. Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery. on July 2, 2019.3

Dolby Jr. of Sigel; four daughters, June Guthrie of Lake Lucy, Carol Lockwood of Brockway, Betty Falkoner of Oil City and Peggy Baughman of Summerville; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Donald Dolby of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dolby was preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel Smith; one stepson, Marvin Ace; a sister, Ruth Ferris; three brothers, Lloyd Dolby, Harry Dolby and Ed Dolby; and one stepbrother, Orren Walter. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Orris officiating. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. on October 20, 2003.2

He was a member of the Congregation Church of Grafton the Cornerstone Club of Grafton, the Grafton Garden Club, and the American Rifle Association. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, James, Harry and Donald Dolby, and a sister, Mrs. Lewis (Ruth) Ferris, all of the Fisher area. A Masonic funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the Robert C. Roney Funeral Home, Grafton, Mass. with Donald Vorce, master of Franklin Lodge, and the Rev. David E. Wilson III officiation. Burial was in Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield, Mass. on November 13, 1968.2

     Edward Jacob "Eddie" Dolby was buried at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio.2 He Dolby, Edward Jacob, beloved father of Joyce, Larry and Kenneth Dolby and Linda Cotterman, also survived by three grandchildren.3 He A Clarion County native and friend of his were murdered and robbed in Chicago Monday Chicago police reported last night. Edward Jacob (Eddie) Dolby, 40, formerly of Siegel RD, and a disabled veteran of World War II, was attacked and killed police said. His friend, John Lewis, who police believe was a resident of Chicago, also was murdered. Police said Dolby entered a parking lot with two men. Lewis was already in the lot. One of the two men who had entered the lot with Dolby attacked him, slit his throat with a razor or knife from ear to ear and robbed him. Lewis was hit on the head. Police said he died of a fractured skull. Several other men were sleeping in the lot at the time of the double murder according to police. Police said the lot is located in a slum area. The two men were seen leaving the scene. The city's homicide department has the killings under investigation and is looking for the two men. Born Clarion County January 18, 1925, Mr. Dolby was the son of Charles I. and Elizabeth Anthony Dolby, who are deceased. His wife, the former Phyllis Steele, resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Four brothers and one sister who reside in this area survive. They are Harry and James of Siegel RD, Donald of Clarion RD, and Mrs. Ruth Ferris of Siegel RD. Another brother, Lloyd of Granton, Mass., and three children who have not been identified, also survive.3 He married Phyllis Lydia Steele.3 Edward Jacob "Eddie" Dolby was born on January 18, 1925 at Strattanville, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.2,4,5 He died on June 21, 1965 at Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at age 40.2,6,3
