He was born in Fond DuLac, Wis. on June 14, 1936 to the late Jerred and Nora Marie Theyerl Peachy. He was a retired Staff Sergeant having served 21 years in the U.S. Army. He was a volunteer with the Blacksburg Rescue Squad for six years after retiring to Blacksburg. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis M. Peachey of Blacksburg; two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol J. Peachey of Blacksburg, Susan A. and Sherman Wright of Christiansburg; a grandson, Phillip M. Peachey of Blacksburg. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Dwelling Place Christian Fellowship, 3325 Franklin Street, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Rick Sizemore officiating.
