She was Assistant VP for the Bank President at Raleigh County National Bank. In her spare time she loved to cook, play piano, crochet and sing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Verna Belle McVey; and brother, William Rey McVey. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John C. Cotten Jr; son, Roy A. DeWeese Jr. and wife Tracey; daughter, Diana L. (DeWeese) McKinney; sisters, Faye Bolen, Twila Haynes, Peggy Hart and Husband Ed; brother, Benny McVey; grandchildren, J.R. Stinnette, Kristyn Stinnette, Roy (Trae) DeWeese, Morgan R. DeWeese, Allison M. Swope, Jeremy S. Kuehn; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Waltemyer, Sydnie Madison Stinnette, Naeomey Stinnette, Ellie DeWeese, Brynlie Swope, Lauren Swope, Paxton DeWeese, Gabe Swope, Henry DeWeese. JR Stinnette, Mike Willett, Scott Bolen, Jay Borror, Skyler Johnson, Cody Johnson and Trae DeWeese will serve as pallbearers.
