Surviving are his wife, Effie Pearl Pyles Butler, daughters, Mrs. Harriet E. Gibson of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Martha A. Bryan of Clifton Forge, Mrs. Georgia J. Bowers of Clifton Forge, Mrs. Loretta M. Bradley of Roanoke, and Mrs. Sylvia Camper of Buena Vista, three sons, Charles A. Butler of Staunton, G. Franklin Butler of Steeles Tavern and John Butler of Steeles Tavern. Also surviving are a stepson Edward Bledsoe of Pound, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Louise Kaminski of Louisville, Ky. and 15 grandchildren. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. on December 26, 1961.

Mr. Westfall was a retired miner and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Church of the First Born in Dixie. Surviving are his wife, Delphia Westfall: sons, Cary of Fayetteville, Carl of Lodi, Ohio, Parris of Bentree; brother, Clifford of Powellton; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Moore Fork Cemetery in Big Otter. on February 10, 1976.
