Mrs. Procious is survived by two sons and nine daughters (some of there are step-children), Mrs. A. H. Goad, Mrs. Annis Summers, Mrs. Dailia Thomas, Mrs. Joe Lucas, Mrs. J. F. Elmore, Mrs. M. D. Samples, Mrs. George Paxton, all of Charleston; Mrs. Sam Arthur, of Ohio; Mrs. Ollie Chapman, of Gassaway, and Howard Samples and Will Proclous, of Paxton. One sister, Mrs. Hallie Ashley, of Charleston, one brother, Worthy Paxton, of Widen, 45 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren survive. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Procious Tuesday. on March 18, 1929.4

"Charlie" Paxton married Margaret Carpenter on April 16, 1905 at Roane Co., West Virginia.8,9 Charles L. "Charlie" Paxton died on September 22, 1939 at Frame, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 77.3,7 He Charles L. Paxton - Mr. Paxton, 77-year-old farmer of Frame, died Friday night at the home of a son, G. H. Paxton of Buffalo Lick near Clendenin, after a long Illness. The body was removed to the Albert Myers and Son's mortuary at Elkview. Born in Craig county, Va., Mr. Paxton came to West Virginia as a child with his parents during the Civil war days. Funeral and burial rites will be conducted at Paxton cemetery near the Sandy Knob church in Roane county, with Rev. S. E. Lundy officiating. Also surviving Mr. Paxton are his widow, Margaret Paxton; one daughter, Miss Virgie Paxton; six other sons, I. W. and V. L. Paxton of Frame, M. W. Paxton of Walton, E. S. Paxton of Cuyhoga Falls, O., A. E. Paxton of Chelyan and H. R. Paxton of Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Lucas of Island Branch and Mrs. Mollie White of Procious; two brothers, W. S. Paxton of Walton and E. D. Paxton of Frame, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. on September 23, 1939.7

Surviving besides the son are his wife, two other sons, Elzie of Belle and Elvie of Walton; five daughters, Mrs. Sybil Hubbard and Mrs. Mildred Jones of Walton and Madeline, Audra and Ruth Paxton, all at home and a brother, Sheldon Paxton of Akron, O. on October 19, 1941.7
