He attended Grace Bible Church, McPherson, and belonged to Foretravel Motorcade, and was past president of the Five-State Peace Officers Association. On June 26, 1964, he married DeLouis Smith Peery in Oklahoma City. She survives. Other survivors include: sons Tommy McEachern, Buffalo, Okla., Joe McEachern, McPherson, and Charles Peery, Raymore, Mo; daughters Sheryl Woods, Gage, Okla., Cindy DeVon, Enid, Okla., Kathy Reese, El Reno, Okla., and Connie Mead, Woodward, Okla; brothers Kenneth, Woodward, Okla., and Don, Woodward, Okla; sisters Loretta Ogan, Fresno, Calif., Sybl Vincent, Kansas City, and Carolyn Madison, Garber, Okla; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Charley; and a sister, Velma Read. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Bible Church, with Pastor Rich Duerksen presiding. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Grace Bible Church, Hospice Care of Kansas, or the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home. on October 31, 2007.1

Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Shirley Jean Snider was born on December 28, 1946 in Borger, Texas to Robert William Gribble and Viola Mae (Fowler) Gribble. Shirley’s family lived for awhile in Borger before moving to Ashland and Coldwater, Kansas. The family moved to Woodward in 1956 and Shirley attended the Woodward schools. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1964. Shirley was united in marriage to Charles Vernon Snider on March 23, 1965 in Clayton, New Mexico. They made their home in Buffalo before moving to Woodward. She worked for the Fruit of the Loom Underwear Factory, the Sands Motel cleaning rooms. Shirley worked at Maries Villa as a Waitress for 20 years and Walmart for 13 years. Shirley loved spending time with her family, especially watching her children and grandchildren rodeoing and playing sports. She was a member of the New Horizon United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge. She is survived by two sons, Chuck Snider Jr. and wife Deborah of Oklahoma City; Bart Snider and wife Kimberlee of Woodward; five brothers, Tom Gribble and wife Norma of Lindsey, Jim Gribble and wife Margene of Woodward, Link Gribble, Larry Gribble and wife Tutor of Woodward, Bill Gribble of San Diego, California; eight grandchildren Cullen Snider and wife Candace, Tori Snider, Jesika Snider, Jakob Snider, Laney Jo Snider, Colt Snider, Denton Mars, and Rowdy Mars; two great-grandchildren, Tatum Snider, Bradin Snider; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Snider, and her parents, Bob and Viola Gribble. on July 2, 2014.1
