Hall, on March 21, 1964 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,2 Lillie Mae Lewis died on August 13, 2014 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 68.2 She ROCK — Lillie Mae Lewis Collins, 68, of Rock River Road, Rock, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center after a long and hard illness. Born October 27, 1945, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Lewis and Melvina Widener Lewis Earnest. Lilly Mae was a devoted wife and mother and was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Sidney (Boo) Lewis. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years: Lee Roy Collins; children, Sandra Smith and husband Jeff, Karen Powers and husband Ray all of Princeton, Leroy Collins of Rock. Three grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Cassie Smith and fiancé Leon Buckhannon, and Emily Powers; 3 great grandchildren, Aaron Smith Jr., Hailey Smith, and Harmoni Buckhannon, two step grandchildren, Keisha Smith and Cara Smith. Her siblings: Bob Lewis of Daniels, Judy Puckett of Princeton, Buddy Lewis of NC, Clinton Lewis of Rock, Wiley Lewis of FL, Roger Lewis, Janice Kane both of VA, Joyce LaMont and Mary “Sissy” Fox both of IL. Her four legged companion Biscuits. A host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Collins Family Cemetery just off Ross Branch Road, near Princeton. on August 14, 2014.2

Hall, 93, of Oak Hill, formerly of the Kegley area, died Thursday at an Oak Hill Care Center. Born in Grandview, she was a daughter of the late Stewart Allen and Wrista Johnson Carper. Hall had lived m ost of her life in Mercer County. She attended Mercer County Schools and was a graduate of Concord College in Athens. She was a former school teacher for several years and was a member of the Kegley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.C. Lilly, and her second husband, James Hall; sons, Cyrus Lilly and Howard Lilly; daughter, Wanda Lilly; sisters, Mae Waybright and Velma Spangler; brother, Leon B. Carper. Survivors; son, Lowell Lilly of Whitesville; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Mr. W .D. “Doug” Wooten will officiate. Burial will follow at the Dayton Lilly Cemetery at Camp Creek. on December 5, 1992.4

Bom in Wilkes County, N.C., she attended the Midway Church of God. She had been a resident of Midway for 21 years. Survivors include her husband; one brother, Zollie Church of Rock; and four sisters, Ella Browning Reed of Etowah, Term., Vallie Taylor Owens of Bradley, Etta Browning of Narrows, Va., and Dacie Brown of Rock. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Midway Church of God with Rev. Gene Bowen officiciating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park at Beckley. on March 29, 1983.2
