The Funeral Service will be conducted with Masonic Rites and held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Peter Anderson and the Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Franklin Memorial Park in Rocky Mount, Va. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. Mr. Slusser is survived by his wife, Ruth Slusser of the home; a son, Wayne R. Slusser of Blacksburg, Va; a sister, Dorothy Oliver of Radford, Va; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 2:50 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church audio department, 201 Anderson St., Fayetteville, NC 28301. on March 23, 2003.2
