Carlton Lee Moses Carlton Lee Moses, age 74 of Blue Ridge, Virginia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 29, 2025. He was born on October 27, 1950 to Bobby Gene Moses and Freeda Cox Moses and spent his life working and living in the Roanoke valley. He attended Cave Spring High School, graduated Class of 1970. Shortly after graduating he began a long career at Yokohama Tire Company and worked there until retirement as a Production Supervisor and also served for a number of years as a First Aid Responder at the company. Upon retirement, he led a Retiree's Breakfast for 15 years or so and consistently kept in contact with these past co-workers. Carlton was a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters for many years and faithfully supported and enjoyed mentoring many boys in the area. He will always be remembered for his big heart in helping others. One of his most enjoyable past times was traveling to The Bahama's and Atlantic City visiting casinos with his wife. Along with his wife, Valerie Moses he owned Floyd Ward Dance Studios in Daleville and Vinton, Virginia. For many years until his health declined, he was instrumental in dance studio equipment transportation and setup "the Prop Guy", sold many t-shirts at Dance Competitions and handed out numerous programs. Carlton was a dedicated and supportive member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, serving in many capacities over the years, most recently as Deacon. It would be remiss not to say he dearly loved his church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister; Sandra Moses Lucas, brother; Tony Ray Moses and fur baby "Snoop". Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 30 years; Valerie Moses, siblings; Larry (Donna) Moses of Summerville, SC and Barbara (Gary) Carter of Blue Ridge.
