Liz, known by her family as Midgie, was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin June Richards; eldest son, Kevin Richards; her parents, Edgar and Zell Fitzpatrick of Roanoke, VA; brothers, Eugene Fitzpatrick of Edinburg, IN and William Fitzpatrick of Taylorsville, IN; and sisters, Emogene (Fitzpatrick) Skaggs of Nineveh, IN and Loretto (Fitzpatrick) DeWees of Hometown, WV. Liz is survived by her son, Mark Richards and his spouse, Donna, of Harleysville, PA; three grandchildren, Mark Jason Richards and his spouse, Elizabeth, and new great-grandson, Arlo Loretto Richards, of Havertown PA; grandson, Jesse Michael Richards of Collegeville, PA; and granddaughter, Francesca Marie (Richards) McKinnon and her spouse, Colin McKinnon, of Skippack, PA. Liz was born on Beury Mountain, Thurmond, WV in 1932. Liz retired from 20+ years as an at-home hair stylist on Trinkle Avenue in Roanoke. Irvin and Liz were avid Square Dancers having performed at the White House. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, they were members of Shenandoah Baptist Church. Liz, Irvin and Kevin moved from Meadowbrook Village in Hollins, VA to live near Mark and his family in 2016. on January 10, 2024.²

     Robert Lane Richards Robert Lane Richards, 84 of Floyd, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Ballard & Annie Prillaman Richards; and brothers, Ammon Richards (Christine) and Irvin Richards (Elizabeth). Robert enjoyed racing, basketball, baseball and had a love of music. He drove a milk truck before working for Whiting Oil Company, driving an oil truck for 37 years. At the age of 16 he began driving a school bus, something he was well known for doing for 40 years. He was a lifelong member and deacon of Laurel Branch Church of the Brethren where he and Shirley faithfully attended. Robert was married to the love of his life, Shirley. You never saw one without the other and they were a true example of what a Godly marriage is. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley Hylton Richards; daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Dennis Whitlock; son & daughter-in-law, Allen & Sonja Richards; grandchildren, Ezra Richards (Gabby), Moriah Wilson (Gray), Hannah Richards, Sarah Richards, Lucas Richards (Abigail), Isaiah Richards, Micah Richards, Judah Richards, Eric Whitlock (Ashley Taylor), Gabriel Whitlock (Lianna Koberoski); sister-in-law, Betty Richards; favorite niece & caregiver, Carolyn Hylton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He had a lifelong passion for stock car and drag racing. He was an extremely gifted mechanic, meticulous in his skill when it came to building and working on cars. Though cars were his passion, he also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Family left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kim; daughter, Alicia Richards Jones and her husband Greg; son, Christopher D. Murphy; sister, Connie Richards; grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, Kiersten (Leroy), and Jordan; nephew Brandon Johnson; and so many close friends. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. on January 18, 2016.²

     Connie Lynn Richards Connie Lynn Richards, Jun 20, 1957 - Jul 15, 2024. On Monday, July 15, 2024, Ms. Connie Lynn Richards was reunited with her heavenly family. She was preceded in death by her father, Ammon Richards; mother, Christine Richards; brother, Gary Richards; and son, Brandon Johnson. Known for her kind nature, infectious laughter, and her constant and undeniable love for her friends and family, she rarely met a stranger. Always the first to offer a helping hand or a big hug to anyone in need, she would always know exactly what to do to put a smile on your face and make the day just a little brighter. Her love for music was never lost throughout her life. From large arenas to small local eateries, you would always find her in the middle of the crowd dancing and singing. Connie was the one person who would light up a room with her beautiful smile and a comforting embrace to all who greeted her. She was truly a special woman, and her love for all will carry on through the hearts of everyone she touched with her kindness.      Kevin Ray Richards was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.³ He was born on December 24, 1951 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^1,2,4 He died on November 17, 2016 at Pennsylvania at age 64.² He Kevin Ray Richards, 64, of Roanoke, Va., and of Audubon, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 17, 2016. He was the loving son of Irvin June and Cynthia Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) Richards of Audubon, Pa; brother of Mark Irvin Richards and his wife, Donna, of Harleysville, Pa; uncle to Mark Jason Richards, Jesse Michael Richards and Francesca Marie Richards, all of Harleysville, Pa; and his special cousin, Velma Jean Flincham of Roanoke, Va. Kevin was preceded in death by his closest friend and grandmother, Glenna Zell (Bragg) Fitzpatrick; grandfather, Edgar of Roanoke, Va; and paternal grandparents, Walter and Annie Richards of Floyd, Va.Kevin was born in Oak Hill, W.Va., grew up in Roanoke where he attended The Viaud School and completed his GED in 1993. Kevin enjoyed bowling at Boxley Hills Lanes in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. He lived and looked after Mom and Dad in Roanoke and continued after the family moved to Pennsylvania to be near Mark's family. He enjoyed playing with his niece and nephews as they grew up and visited during the summer months. on November 19, 2016.²
