Archie was a faithful member of Open Door Baptist Church for over 30 years. He loved the Lord, his animals, and playing his accordion. Archie always had a smile on his face and was a wonderful, kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Open Door Baptist Church, 3995 Roanoke Road, Christiansburg, with Pastor Michael J. Lephew. A special thanks to Louise Lephew, her bedside companion. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Mountain Top Mission Church, 3005 Roanoke St., Christiansburg. on January 13, 2017.4

Suriving members of his family; Sister; Vickie Snow, Sons; Jonathan Roupe & fiancee, Linda Boone, Phillip Roupe & (W) Christina; Daughters, Bobbi Roupe Wheeler; Grandchildren, Michael Roupe & (W) Nicole, Josh Roupe, Ashley Underwood & (H) Tyler; Great-Grandchildren, Cody Roupe, Calden, Camben Roupe, Ava Pipkin & Aiden Underwood, Several nices & nephews; Companion, Mary Jane Roupe; Stepsons; Roy Lane & (W) Gail, Clinton Lane & (W) Christina, Jackie Lane, Willie Lephew and 12 step-grandchildren.
