Mr. Pipher is survived by two daughters, Pam Beeler and her husband, Bill of West Terre Haute, Ind., and Sharon Payne and her husband, Norman of Sarasota, Fla; two sons, Jeff Pipher and his wife, Judith of San Diego, Calif., and Gene Pipher of Mt. Vernon; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
