     Cynthia Anne "Cindy" Carper Cynthia Carper LaMorte, 57, of Mocksville, passed away on June 25, 2019 at her home. Cynthia was born August 14, 1961 in Forsyth County, a daughter to the late George Carper Sr. and Helen Wood Carper. She obtained her Associate’s Degree from Forsyth Community College. She married Michael Joseph LaMorte III in 2000. She was preceded in death by her father George Carper Sr. as well as her brother George Carper Jr. In life, Cynthia loved painting and especially loved her family. She is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 19 years, Michael Joseph LaMorte III, her mother Helen Wood Carper, son Terry Phibbs Jr. of Mocksville, son John Griffin of Advance, stepson Michael LaMorte IV of Harford, New York, stepdaughter Amanda LaMorte of Mocksville, brother David Carper of Oklahoma, as well as seven grandchildren.³ She married Mark Anthony Spainhour.⁶ Cynthia Anne "Cindy" Carper married Terry Randall Phibbs Sr.⁶ Her married name was Phibbs. Her married name was Spainhour. He was an assistant store manager of Kelly Drug Store at Oak Hill, where he had been employed for 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II, was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 120, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Oak Hill, American Legion at Fayetteville and United Methodist Men of the United Methodist Church. Born at Marie, Summers County, Jan. 22, 1901, he was a son of the late Giles Washington and Aridel Hoback Iddings. Survivors include his wife, Arglena Woolridge Iddings; three sons, James Henry, Robert Giles and William Joseph, all of Oak Hill, and a brother, Leslie Iddings of Marie. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery at Marie. on March 27, 1975.³

     Daisy Blaine Meadows was buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.⁴ Her married name was Cody.³ She married Walter Lee Cody.⁵ Daisy Blaine Meadows was born on May 7, 1884 at Summers Co., West Virginia.^4,3 As of May 7, 1903,her married name was Iddings.² She married William Jasper "Willie" Iddings, son of Jonathan Bird Iddings and Rosa Belle "Rosa" Clower, on May 7, 1903 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.^1,6,2 Daisy Blaine Meadows and William Jasper "Willie" Iddings were divorced before April 25, 1930.⁷ Daisy Blaine Meadows died on August 19, 1963 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia, at age 79.^4,3 She Mrs. Daisy Iddings Cody, 79, of 312 Summers St., Hinton, died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday in a Hinton hospital where she had been a patient for 11 days. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. Born May 7, 1884, in Summers County, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Mary Wiseman Meadows. She was a lifelong resident of Summers and Monroe counties. Mrs. Cody was a member of the Zion Methodist Church. Survivors include five sons, Roy of Montgomery, Charles of Hinton, and Harold, Archie and Roscoe Iddings, all of Richmond, Va; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Cody of Marie and Miss Rose Iddings of Hinton; a brother, William Meadows of Hinton; three sisters, Mrs. O. C. Allen and Mrs. Oliver Kessler, both of Hinton, and Mrs. Lena Lyton of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A son, James, died in 1960. The funeral will be conducted at the New Hope Methodist Church at Marie. Burial will be in the church cemetery. on August 30, 1963.³

     Calvin Roy Ray Iddings was buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.^1,5,11 His Social Security Number was 719-03-2778.¹² He was born on July 24, 1904 at Marie, Summers Co., West Virginia.^12,6 He married Cosy Lea McClung on April 12, 1927 at Summers Co., West Virginia.^1,4,13,5 Calvin Roy Ray Iddings died on February 22, 1976 at Montgomery, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 71.^1,5,11 He Roy Ray Iddings, 71, of Montgomery, was dead on arrival Sunday at Montgomery General Hospital of an apparent heart attack. He was a retired employee of C&O Railway where he was employed 46 years, was a member of Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way and was a member and trustee of Montgomery Baptist Church. Mr. Iddings lived in Montgomery 37 years. Surviving: wife, Cosy McClung Iddings; son, Donald of Flatwoods, Ky; sisters, Mrs. Eva Cody and Mrs. Rose Belcher, both of Marie; brothers, Archie and Roscoe, both of Richmond, Va; three grandchildren. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Marie. on February 24, 1976.⁵
