     Randal Hosford Wentworth Randal Hosford Wentworth, 57, of Lexington, Va. crossed over to the happy hunting grounds in Heaven on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Born Thursday, July 29, 1965, in Lexington, Va., son of Stephen Hosford and Rosemary Powley Wentworth. Randal graduated from Amherst County High School, then went on to serve his country in the United States Army until the year of 1986. He would later serve in the Virginia Army National Guard between the years of 2002 and 2003. As a man of faith, Randal faithfully attended and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church, in Lynchburg, Va. He was a dedicated employee of Southern Inn of Lexington, but when he wasn’t at work, he enjoyed numerous activities and hobbies he picked up over the years. Randal was a very talented man with his drawings. He loved to fish, garden, and cook, but his passion was mostly outdoors hunting and camping with his family. He was a proud Hokie when it came to college sports and was also loyal to his beloved Amherst Lancers. Randal was preceded in death by his biological father, Rufus Hull Bennington. Left to cherish his memory includes his wife, Rebecca Breeden Wentworth; father, Stephen Wentworth; mother, Rosemary Powley Cole; stepfather, Stephen R. Cole; sons, Hunter Lloyd Wentworth, Randal Lee Wentworth, and Quent Bennington Wentworth; and Randal’s “little buddy,” granddaughter, Oaklynn Nova; daughter, Crystal Leighann Funk (John ) and their four children; stepson, Robert Dane Breeden (Judy) and their son, Paul; brothers, Philip Wesley Wentworth (Lori), Gordon Wayne Wentworth (Karen); sisters, Elizabeth Wentworth Castro (Jesse) and Kathryn Wentworth (Jeff); brothers-in-law, Frank Breeden (Terri) and Russ Breeden; uncle to Megan Kohnen, Abigale Wentworth, Elias Wentworth, Sarah Cannon, Rachel Williamson, Hannah Sexton, Jesse Castro, Matt Potter, Brandon Wentworth, Jon Duckworth, Stephen Duckworth, Rosemary Duckworth; and many great nieces and great nephews. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Don King and daughters Donna Bradshaw (Gary) of Check, VA, Jenifer Bowman (Joe) of Check, VA, Amy Casteel (Clark) of Danville, VA and Beth Bethard (Gary) of Check, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Molly Bradshaw, Adam Bradshaw, Grace Bradshaw, Lydia Bowman, Ford Bowman, Ethan Casteel and Jacob Casteel; also her niece Carolyn Rosing (Michael), great-niece Anna Rosing and great-nephew Ben Rosing of Atlanta, GA and nephew Gordon Smith of Anderson, SC. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Nina L. Smith. Blessed and a Blessing LaNora was blessed to have planted deep roots in her community and to find the true callings for her life. She worked tirelessly for her faith community at Havens Chapel and within the United Methodist Conference. Her faith and compassion led her to work with the local food ministry and her love of her rural community led her to volunteer with the Farm Bureau and various other community groups to which she was devoted. It was a blessing to see LaNora’s presence as she used her gift for connecting with young people. From raising her daughters and grandchildren, as well as others who loved their Grannyboo like Amber Harris, Lindsey Baker, Aubrey and many others, she was a grandmother to all children she met. LaNora’s patience, grace and generous spirit made a deep impact on all. Her curiosity, love of reading and learning, her commitment to her faith, her service and her compassion were lessons she taught by example. Her family, friends and community will miss her dearly, but cherish the wonderful example with which she led her blessed life.2 She was born on November 14, 1934 at St. Louis, Missouri.1,4,2 She married Don Wiley King, son of Clarence Wiley King and Eva Estelle Lucas, circa 1965.1,5,4,2 As of circa 1965,her married name was King.2 LaNora Ann Lusk died on January 23, 2021 at Virginia at age 86.2

     Frances Bandy was buried at Wilson Cemetery, Daniel's Run Road (Rt. 661), Locust Grove, Floyd Co., Virginia.2 She was born on August 6, 1913 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia.2 She married Clarence Wiley King, son of George Wiley "Dock" King and Cordelia Jane "Dillie" King, in 1948.1,2 As of 1948,her married name was King.2 Frances Bandy died on June 30, 2010 at Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 96.2,3 She CHECK - Frances Bandy King, 96, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010. She was born August 6, 1913 in Shawsville, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence W. King. She is survived by her loving family: Don and LaNora King of Check, four granddaughters, Donna (Gary) Bradshaw, Jenifer (Joe) Bowman, Amy (Clark) Casteel, and Beth (Gary) Bethard; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
