Mullins was buried at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Boulevard, Westminster, Orange Co., California.³ She was born on February 27, 1924 at Pikesville, Pike Co., Kentucky.^1,2 As of August 17, 1947,her married name was DeWease.¹ She married Willie Walter DeWease, son of Alfred DeWease and Glenna Kate Garman, on August 17, 1947 at Martinsville, Virginia.¹ Edna P. Mullins and Willie Walter DeWease were divorced on March 10, 1950 at Martinsville, Virginia.⁴ Edna P. Mullins died on November 13, 1964 at Orange Co., California, at age 40.⁵

He had worked in construction for many years and was preceded in death by his parents, William Eugene and Goldie Mae Phoenix, a sister, Donna Gay Black and survivors include his wife, Evelyn "Sharon" Phoenix; a son, Roy William Phoenix; daughter, Sharon Rebecca Compton, both of Shawsville; several sisters and brothers; and many close friends. Burial will follow in the Phoenix Family Cemetery in Shawsville. on April 6, 1994.⁵ He died on April 4, 1997 at Maryland at age 52.^3,5

Artizan St., died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Born Aug. 12, 1955, in Elmira, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Wayne Watson and Delores Ruth Bradshaw Hanks. She was a graduate of Southern Fulton High School in Warfordsburg, Pa., and attended Hagerstown Junior College. She was employed by the State of Maryland Department of Social Services, retiring in 2001. She attended Trinity Bible Church in Hagerstown. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Herman Dewease, whom she married Feb. 14, 1999; one daughter, Kristy Zombro of Hedgesville, W.Va; two sons, Todd Bishop of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Scott Bishop of Hagerstown; three sisters, Carol Cook of Clear Spring, Cindy Rabon of Hagerstown and Pam Hanks of Falling Waters, W.Va; one brother, Steve Hanks of Hancock; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lorraine Hanks. on November 19, 2003.²

     Paul Edward Beard was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Franklin Co., Pennsylvania.^2,4 His Social Security Number was 182-32-4984.⁵ He was born on March 26, 1943 at Waynesboro, Franklin Co., Pennsylvania.^2,5,3 He married Deborah Pearl DeWease, daughter of Douglas Berman DeWease and Zelma Loucetta Swisher, on December 3, 1970 at Hagerstown, Washington Co., Maryland.^1,2,6 Paul Edward Beard died on April 7, 2006 at Greencastle, Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, at age 63.^2,5 He Paul E. Beard, age 63, of 228 East Franklin St., Greencastle, Pa., died at 8:07 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2006, in his home. He had been in failing health the past year and critically the last month. Born March 26, 1943, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Edna V. (Kuykendall) Beard of Waynesboro and the late Paul E. Beard. He worked for 38 years at Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa. Mr. Beard was a life member of the Mechanics S.F.E. and Hose 1 of Waynesboro, life member of Franklin Fire Co. 4 of Chambersburg, member of the Rescue Hose Co. 1 of Greencastle, and a member of the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Fireman's Association. He also was a member of the Eagles Inc. of Waynesboro, a social member of the Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319 of Greencastle, and was a former member of the Morris Frock American Legion of Hagerstown. Mr. Beard was past president of the Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown, and past president of the Greencastle Softball League. He was a member of the former "Free-Staters" Drum And Bugle Corps of Hagerstown, and former member of the Hanover Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps of Hanover, Pa. He was a graduate of Waynesboro High School. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, collecting NASCAR memorabilia and watching auto racing. He and his wife, Deborah P. (Dewease) Beard, were married Dec. 3, 1970, in Hagerstown. Surviving family in addition to his mother and wife are two daughters, Annette G. Measell, Chambersburg, Pa., and Tammy Wolf of York Springs, Pa; two sons, Teal E. Beard of Greencastle and Tommy R. Beard of York, Pa; two sisters, Barbara Piper and Beverly Adolini, both of Waynesboro; two brothers, Dennis Beard of Sykesville, Md., and Daral Beard of Waynesboro; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chanel Beard, on Aug. 17, 1998. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. on April 10, 2006.²
