"Wally" Fenn Sr., 75, passed away at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center on Friday, June 23, 2000. Born in Kenosha on October 27, 1924, he was the son of the late Phillip and Victoria (nee: Faulhauber) Fenn. He was a lifelong resident of South Kenosha until he moved to Franksville in 1974. On January 4, 1947, he married Joyce Neff. She died on May 13, 1977. He then married Carole Jean McCall on September 9, 1983. He entered the United States Army during World War II from February 22, 1943, until April 15, 1945. He received the American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the European, African, Middle Eastern Service Medal. He then entered the United States Army during the Korean War from October 13, 1950, until his Honorable Discharge on May 4, 1951. He owned and operated "Wally's Always Inn" on South Sheridan Road in Kenosha for 12 years. He also worked for American Motors Corporation, retiring on July 31, 1986. He was a member of St. Roberts Catholic Church in Union Grove, United Auto Workers Local #72, KeNashA Club, and American Legion Post #171. After his retirement, he enjoyed doing charity auctions for various churches and the Boy Scouts of America. He helped several people in need of transplants. He worked tirelessly, giving his energy and talent to many organizations in the Racine area. Surviving are his wife, Carole Fenn of Franksville; his three sons, Thomas (Teryl) Fenn of Sturtevant, Richard Fenn of Milwaukee, and Roger Fenn of Waupaca; his two daughters, Vicki (Larry) Woodard of Grayslake, Ill. and Sharon (Ron) Hagelund of Minot, N.D; 1 14 grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joyce; one son, Walter James Fenn Jr. on December 2, 1985; and three brothers, Edward, Phillip, and Frank. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery. on June 24, 2000.5
