He is survived by his wife, Erma of Ransom; one daughter, Deborah (Michael) Keesee of Ransom; one son, Forrest "Ray" (Laura) Paxton Jr. of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, David (Kristin), Paul (Jennifer) Thorn Jr., and Sandy (Jon) Ternosky, all of New York, Jennifer Keesee of Cox, Jeremy (Becky) Keesee, Melissa (Josh) Parsun, and Jessica (Gary) Paxton-Smith, all of Illinois; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eloise Pickering of Streator and Betty (Russell) Barrett of Dunbar, WVa; two brothers, David (Marilyn) Paxton of Utica, Neb., and Brady Paxton of Paradise, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Elaine Thorn; one grandson, Joshua Paxton; and one brother, Ronald Paxton.      David Wesley Paxton Sr. David Wesley Paxton, Sr. was born January 14, 1938, in Walton, West Virginia to Herman and Florence Paxton and passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Sunrise Country Manor in Milford and the age of 83. As a young boy, Dave attended public school in Walton and later enlisted into the US Army where he was a medic. He moved to Fort Riley, KS and on January 9, 1958, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Ervin in Blue Rapids, KS and to this union eight children were born: David Jr., Steve, Darrell, William, Della, Phyllis and Connie, Michael. David worked at a Glass Plant Company in Illinois, operated a gas station and café in Blue Rapids and later drove a box truck. After Charlottes death, David moved to York where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and going on drives out in the countryside. David enjoyed participating in demolition derby’s and was a weather watcher for many years. Survivors include his 8 children, David Paxton Jr., Waterville, KS, Darrell Paxton, Kansas City, KS, Steve Zimmerman, St. George, KS, William (Lynn) Paxton, Cheyenne, WY, Phyllis Hogston, Beatrice, Connie Evans, Wymore and Mike Paxton, Beatie, KS, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Betty Barrett, Charleston, WV, an adopted brother, Brady Paxton, Huntington, WV, several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charlotte, daughter, Della, a grandsons, Adam, Dillon and Nathen Paxton, and a granddaughter, Breanna Paxton, two brothers a sister and a son-in-law, Gregg Evans. Eloise "Corky" Pickering, 84, of Streator, passed away Tuesday morning, June 17, at her home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Earl Weiss, Anthony William Gray, Roger Burns, Chad Burns, Mike Pickering and Brian Davis. Eloise was born March 19, 1930, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Herman and Macel (Kessell) Paxton. She married Earl Pickering on Aug. 3, 1946. He passed away June 11, 1987. Surviving are daughters, Nancy Danko and Joyce (Brian) Davis, and son, Charles (Mary) Pickering, all of Streator; seven grandchildren, William (Lori Fornero) Weiss, Robert (Tara) Gray, Amy Hogan, Chad Burns, Tiffany (Juan) Summers, Mike Pickering and Cindy (Jeff) Treest; 23 great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brothers, David (Marilyn) Paxton, of Beatrice, Neb., and Brady Paxton, of Red House, W.Va; sister, Betty Barrett, of Dunbar, W.Va; sister-in law, Erma Paxton, of Ransom; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Larry in infancy; daughter, Betty Musolff; grandson, Shane Lanning; son-in-law, Dan Danko; brother, Ray Paxton; and brother-in-law, Russ Barrett. Eloise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and also a great cook. She is going to be sadly missed. on June 18, 2014.²

Barrett, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by father, William J. Barrett; mother, Lessie M. Barrett; brother, William J. "Bill Do" Barrett III; sisters, Deloris Maxine "Micky" Casdorph, and Viola H. "Toots" Flood; and daughter, Betty Jean Ingram. He is survived by wife of 36 years, Betty M. Barrett; sons, Dale Ingram of Sissonville and his wife June, and Gary Ingram of Charleston; granddaughter, Lisa A. Bishop of Cross Lanes and husband, Terry; grandson, Patrick Ingram of Sissonville; three great-grandchildren, Scott Lewis, Angel Bishop, and Sean Bishop; and several nieces and nephews. Russell was a lifelong resident of Dunbar. He worked at Shoney's Commissary, retiring in 2001, but continuing to work there until 2009. Russell loved spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and camping. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. on March 20, 2012.³
