Born September 3, 1934, in Lynchburg, Arlene was a daughter of the late James Lacy Tyree and the late Edna Shepherd Jennings. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Dale Floyd. Arlene is survived by her two daughters: Deborah Floyd Adams and Tina Yvonne Cash, seven grandchildren: Christopher Dale Floyd, Jamie Diane Floyd, Bridget Adams Dalton (Cuyler), Crystal Fawn Adams, Jody Vaughn Ramsey, Amber Nicole Cash, and Emily Vale Cash; three great grandchildren: Harley Rayne Dalton, Cuyler Jade Dalton, and Kali Skye Floyd; five siblings: Barbara Collins, Jack Tyree (Jean), Peggy Knight, Helen Farrar, and Larry Tyree (Cathy); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was employed at Kellam and Eaton Hardware for the past four years, where he loved his job and was touched by many wonderful people. Don enjoyed family, the beauty of nature, fishing, gardening and lived life to its fullest. He was always surrounded by love and will be deeply missed. Burial will follow at Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Princess Anne Road. on April 18, 2000.⁴
