Besides his sister, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Bella Keller; a brother, James D., and three other sisters, Mrs. Irene Bexter, Mrs. Isabelle Oldham and Mrs. Jessie Singelyn. on December 23, 1942.3

He was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Elmore and a sister, Norma Statzer. CSM Elmore is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ella H. Kuhn Elmore; three daughters, Lilli B. She is survived by three sons, Roy Crouse Jr. and his wife, Vivian of Montana, Joseph Crouse and his wife, Gwendolyn of Arthurdale, WV, and Paul Crouse and his wife, Vickie of Shady Spring; two daughters, Mary Milam and her husband, Steve of Grandview, and Lee Ann Hollingsworth of Harrison, AK; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Elmore Davis and her husband, Ernest, and Phyllis Elmore Putnam; and one brother, Joseph Elmore and his wife, Loretta. Alma was employed by the Raleigh County School System as a custodian at the old Cirtsville School and Bradley Elementary School until her retirement to be with her family. At the request of the family, no services will be held. on February 13, 2019.4

Betty Jo Elmore Betty Jo Elmore Lilly, 80, of Mount Hope, WV died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her home. Born September 5, 1933 in Raleigh County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Andy and Harriet Frances Permelia Elmore. She attended the Mountain View Church of God at Hilltop. Betty had served on the Mount Hope City Council and had served as the building inspector for the city. She was active with the Central Appalachian Empowerment Zone and was an advocate for the Black Lung Association. She was involved in many charitable contributions and works for the betterment of the community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lilly, Jr. on May 28, 2010; a daughter, Twyla Lilly Brown; three brothers, Johnny, Freddie and Frankie Elmore; one sister, Norma Statzer. She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Elmore Putnam of Mount Hope; one son, John H. Lilly and wife, Frances of LaPorte, Texas; a special friend, Tom McClanahan of Piney View; five grandchildren, Chad Brown, Ashley Brown, Michael Elmore, Gabrielle Green and Ian Putnam; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Alma Lee Crouse of Grandview and Nellie Jane Davis of Maple Fork; one brother, Joe Thomas Elmore, Sweeneysburg.
