Kerwood Hively, 91, of Hometown passed away October 12, 2006, in SunBridge of Dunbar Nursing Home. Mrs. Hively attended Hometown Church of God Mission and was a volunteer for the Hometown Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Hively Barnette and husband, Robert, of Dunbar and Barbara E. Young and husband, Frank, of Hometown; six grandchildren, Vickie Kessell, Tim and wife, Nancee Barnette, Toni and husband, Mike Staats, Tina and husband, Tim Randolph, Mark E. Young and Samuel F. and wife, Lisa Young; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A tribute to the life of Garnet will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14, at Cunningham Memorial Park with Pastors Joe Scarberry and Wayne Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in the memorial park. Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Poca, is serving the Hively family. on October 13, 2006.¹

Surviving: wife, Helen Vaughan Cobb; mother, Mildred Cobb of Charleston. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, with Pastor Larry Vaughan officiating.
