     His Social Security Number was 232-32-1861.² Charles Russell Reed Jr. was buried at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, 6839 Sissonville Drive, Sissonville, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.⁵ He was born on January 23, 1927 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,5 He married Mary Ethel Hagans on December 1, 1962 at Robeson Co., North Carolina.³ Charles Russell Reed Jr. died on February 14, 2006 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 79.^2,5 He Charles Russell Reed Jr., 79, of Sissonville, departed this life Monday, Feb. 14, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Charleston, a son of the late Charles R. Reed Sr. and Mary Sisson Reed. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Grable Full. Charles was retired from the State of West Virginia Highway Department District 1 as an inspector. He was a member of Humphreys Memorial Methodist Church and was a graduate of Sissonville High School. He was a U.S. Navy Sea Bee veteran having served in World War II, the Korean War, and three tours of Vietnam. Charles was one of the first to serve in Antarctica. He served his country proudly having earned the Good Conduct Medal with a bronze star, Antarctica Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with silver and bronze star, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon Bar, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross Medal Color with Palm) Civil Actions Medal, First Class Color with Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and FMF Insignia. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Haggans Reed; three daughters, Peggy Ann Newhouse and Mary Virginia Proctor, both of Richmond, Va., Charlene Reed of Sissonville; seven grandchildren, Lisa Ann and Pamela Maria Newhouse, Joshua Bostic, Kodie Smith, Jacob Smith, Kelsey and Ashley Full; two great-grandchildren, Aedan Coble and Cassidy Camper; one sister, Mary Nolen of Charleston; and one brother, Boyd Reed of Sissonville. Memorial service will be Friday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with the Rev. Terry Dean officiating. Interment with military graveside services will be provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin, will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Sissonville. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Charles was a loving husband and father and will be truly missed by everyone that knew him and was an exceptional person. on February 16, 2006.⁵

     Juanita June Sigmon was buried at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, 6839 Sissonville Drive, Sissonville, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She was born on June 1, 1935 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,2,3 As of September 13, 1957,her married name was Reed.¹ She married Boyd Alexander Reed, son of Charles Russell Reed Sr. and Mary Esther Sisson, on September 13, 1957 at Sissonville, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.¹ Juanita June Sigmon died on July 1, 2017 at West Virginia at age 82.^2,4

     Gladys Mildred Elmore was buried at Putney Cemetery, Putney, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She was born circa 1930 at West Virginia.¹ She died on February 17, 1945 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She Services for Gladys Mildred Elmore, 14, of Putney, who died Saturday night in a Charleston hospital, will be conducted by Rev. C. C. Caincross at 2:30 pm today in the Baptist church at Putney. Burial in Putney cemetery will be directed by Fidler & Frame mortuary of Belle. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Elmore; five brothers, Henry, John and Delbert Elmore, all of Blue Creek, and Jack and Howard Elmore, both of Putney; and seven sisters, the sisters Mona, Rose Ann, Geraldine and Betty Jean Elmore, and Mrs. Elsie Mark and Mrs. Virginia Dunlap, all of Putney, and Mrs. Gertrude Spradling of Chesapeake. on February 19, 1945.²
