Born at Athens, she was a daughter of Mrs. Virginia Zella Poff Butler of Athens and the late Fred J. Butler. A lifelong resident of Mercer County, she was a homemaker, a 1965 graduate of Athens High School and a member of Athens Church of Christ. Additional survivors: husband, Donald E. Barie; sons, Danny W. Barie of Morgantown and Gary D. Barie of the home; daughters, Teresa D. Barie and Amanda E. Barie, both of the home; sisters, Mrs. Freda Hess of Athens and Mrs. Pauline Hartman of Lynchburg, Va; half brother, Bill Poff of South Dakota. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road, Princeton, with Minister Gary A. Lamie officiating and burial at Athens Cemetery. on March 29, 1990.2
