He continued that work until a few years ago, when he began struggling with multiple health issues. Tiny was a fun loving person who always made others laugh. He was also a committed servant of the Lord, especially through selflessly giving to others and by offering powerful prayers. Tiny was preceded in death by his father, Carl DiRico Sr; his mother, Ellon DiRico; brothers Carl DiRico Jr., and Roger DiRico. He is survived by his son, Charles DiRico Jr. of Charlotte, N.C; Charles Jr.'s mother, Debbie VanDyke of Inman, S.C; stepmother, Viola Nolen (Clarence) of Riner, Va; and brothers Billy Caldwell (Susan) of Riner, Donald DiRico of Pembroke, Tommy DiRico of Pembroke, and Frederick Lyons of Detroit, Mich. on May 30, 2018.³

He was killed on April 16, 1945, in Germany during World War II. She later married Leroy E Ziegler on July 29, 1946. He died on Dec 21, 1974. She was married to Richard McCurdy on Aug 7, 1982, at Diamond. He survives. Mrs. McCurdy had attended the Oil City schools. She was affiliated with the Salvation Army of Oil City; enjoyed writing, knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her husband of Titusville, RD 4. and the following children: Leroy E. Ziegler, Jr, of Oil City, Mrs. Larry (Judy) Lepley and Mrs. William (Mary) England, both of Franklin, Mrs. Barry (Marian) Goughler of Philadelphia, Mrs. Dennis (Donna) Slatten of Zebulon, NC, Mrs. Larry (Lily) Krizon of Cooperstown, Ronald L. Ziegler of Franklin, Brenda L. Ziegler Riddle of Oil City and Mrs. Richard (Vicki) Jackson of Titusville; a step-son, F. Craig McCurdy of Fairbanks, Alaska; 22 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Irene L. Ziegler, a sister, Mrs. Mary Velma Fultz; and a niece, Marian E. Ziegler. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home and attend the funeral service there on Thursday afternoon at a time to be announced. Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery. on May 9, 1995.⁴
