     Violet Dale McCallister was buried at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Hurricane, Putnam Co., West Virginia.2,3,4 Her married name was Cox.4 She married Joseph Alfred Cox.4 Violet Dale McCallister was born on April 26, 1950 at West Virginia.2,3 She died on April 2, 1969 at Scott Depot, Putnam Co., West Virginia, at age 18; Died in an auto accident.2,3 She Mrs. Violet Dale Cox of Scott Depot, Putnam County, was crushed to death in a single car accident west of Scott Depot on W. Va. 33. State police said Mrs. Cox was driving east on the highway when her car went out of control on a curve near Maplewood Estates. The compact car ran over a small embankment and flipped over, crushing her, police said. She was dead on arrival at Thomas Memorial Hospital. State police said Wednesday that seat belts probably would have saved the life of the 18-year-old mother and housewife. Among the survivors of Mrs. Cox is her father, James M. McCallister, who is a patient in Thomas Memorial Hospital. He was injured in a Nov. 1 two-car collision that claimed the life of Mrs. Cox's mother, Verna Thelma McCallisterr, 42. Mrs. Cox was a lifelong resident of Putnam County and a member of the Scott Depot Church of God. In addition to her father, Mrs. Cox is survived by: husband, Joseph Alfred Cox; son, Joseph A. Jr., at home; brothers, Wendall and James McCallister of Cleveland, Dennis and Chester, Scott Depot; sisters, Mrs. June Jessie, Mrs. Charlotte Holstein, Mrs. Geraldine Beech, Mrs. Carol Whittington, Mrs. Betty Alford, all, of Cleveland, Mrs. Sharon Withrow of St. Albans, and Miss Donna McCallister of Scott Depot. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Chapman Funeral Home, Teays Valley. Burial at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Teays Valley. on April 3, 1969.4

     James Wendell McCallister Sr. was buried at Rome Center Cemetery, Rome, Ashtabula Co., Ohio.2 He was born on September 20, 1942 at Scott Depot, Putnam Co., West Virginia.2 He married Jeanette Weiss on July 21, 1973.2 James Wendell McCallister Sr. died on August 15, 2014 at Ashtabula Co., Ohio, at age 71.2 He James W. McCallister, Sr., 71, died at his home, with his family by his side on Friday, August 15, 2014. He was born on September 20, 1942, in Scott Depot, W.Va., a son of Verna (Smith) and James Morrison McCallister. Mr. McCallister served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter mechanic. He was a fabricator for Eaton Kenway and then Atlas Car, both of Cleveland, Ohio. On July 21, 1973, he married Jeanette Weiss. Mr. McCallister was a member of the Ashtabula American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Mr. McCallister is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Joseph McCallister; six sisters, Betty Alford, June Jessie, Dale Cox, Thelma Carol Whittington, Virginia L. McCallister, and Maxine Johnson; and three brothers, Dennis M. McCallister, Chester D. McCallister and Donnie McCallister. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Jeanette McCallister of New Lyme, Ohio; a daughter, Diana L. (Matthew) McCallister of New Lyme, Ohio; two sons, James W. (Darla) McCallister, Jr. of Andover, Ohio and Dennis M. (Angie) McCallister of Cherry Valley, Ohio; four sisters, Charlotte Holstein of Munson, Ohio, Geraldine Beach of Wayne, Ohio, Sharon Withrow of Ashtabula, Ohio and Donna (Jay) Swope of Conneaut, Ohio; one brother, James H. (Irene) McCallister of Poca, W.Va; three grandchildren, Randi Nicole, Clayton Michael and James Wyatt McCallister; and a great-grandchild on the way. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, at the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene 3410 State Route 6, Cherry Valley, Ohio. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. on August 17, 2014.2
