He was born May 26, 1931, in Wayne County, Ky. Keith was employed at the Ford's Lorain Assembly Plant for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 425 and Trinity Baptist Church and attended New Life Community Church. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. Survivors include his wife, Darlene (nee Patterson); sons Kenneth Wayne Keith of Kentucky, Eddie Lee Keith of Lorain and Danny Thurman Keith of Wakeman; daughters Sheila Lowry of Sullivan, Diane Heater of Berlin Heights and Darla Jean Lester of Tennessee; brothers Lowell Keith of Indiana and Arnold and Leland Keith, both of Kentucky; sister, Marie Rogers of Kentucky; and 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Bertha Mae Flynn Keith; brother, Johnny Keith; sisters Thelma Morrow and Desda Gray; and one grandson. Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home, 1058 US 250, North, Ashland. The funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in New Life Community Church, 1489 SR 511, Ashland, with the Rev. Brenton Page officiating. Burial with military rites by the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard will be in Ashland County Memorial Park. on January 6, 2006.²

He was a 1974 Decatur Central High School Graduate. He has lived the last 17 years in Mooresville, IN and previously, he lived in Indianapolis for 36 years. Currently, he was a Machinest for National Starch and Chemical in Indianapolis for 13 years. Previously, he was a Machinest for Maple Hurst Dairy in Indianapolis for 18 years. He loved the outdoors, sports, motor sports racing and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife: Paula J. Patterson of Mooresville; 2 sons: Damon and Doug Patterson of Mooresville; 2 step children: David Eric Frost of Mooresville and Christina Marie Frost of Indianapolis; 1 granddaughter: Haley Patterson; father and step mother: Sam and Irma Patterson Sr. of Tennessee; 1 brother: Sam Patterson Jr. of Indianapolis;2 sisters: Sherry Douglas of MI and Sandy Greene of Mooresville.⁴ He was born on April 8, 1956 at Franklin, Indiana.^2,4,5 He married Paula Jean Herbert on July 13, 2002 at Mooresville, Morgan Co., Indiana.^2,3,4,5 Steven Douglas "Steve" Patterson died on April 25, 2009 at Beechgrove, Marion Co., Indiana, at age 53.^2,4,5
