She had a kind heart, caring heart and loved her family, friends and church, the United Methodist in Cottonwood. She was also a member of the Doll and Gardening Club. Her dolls were her passion. Hobbies were dolls, crocheting and gardening. Her flowers were very special to her and giving to others filled her life. She is survived by her devoted husband Jimy "Woody" Woodburn of Clarkdale; one daughter Sue Allen Sands and her husband Charles "Chuck" Sands of Payson, AZ; two sons Charles and wife Kay Allen of Jacksonville, FL and James and wife Dorothy Allen of Loyall, KY; two sisters Billie Merris and Jaque-line Debolt of Van Wert, OH; two brothers Charles Simpson of Van Wert, OH and Harvey Simpson of 29 Palms, CA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held June 19, 2010 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 1 PM. with a reception to follow in the funeral home's reception room. on June 9, 2010.1

Mr. Stull, a retired electrical contractor, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at his residence. He had been ill for several years. Born Dec. 28, 1891 in Sudith, Ky., he was a son of Travis and Sally Kendell Stull. Sept. 12, 1912 he married the former Etta Allen. She died in 1970. Surviving are five sons and three daughters; Paul at Jackson; William and Ted, both of Ashland; J.T. at Huntington, Ala; Harmon A., Dowajac, Mich; Ellen Billings of Winston-Salem, N.C; Fern Hillman and Mrs. Roy Reese of Richwood; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family's favorite charity is the Union County Cancer Society.      James Travis "J. T." Stull was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, 203 Maple Hill Drive, Huntsville, Madison Co., Alabama.5,4 He James Travis Stull, born in Straight Creek, KY and growing up in Ashland, KY, passed away on Wednesday. Jim served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a radio operator in the China Burma India Theater, setting up stations in the jungles for new air fields. After the war he pursued ham radio and continued logistic operations at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile, AL with Martha, his wife since August 12, 1941. Jim and family moved to Huntsville, AL in 1960 to join NASA in putting the first man on the moon.
Jim was a dedicated father to three sons, Jim Jr., Terry and Chuck, whom he supported in the scouting program. He was scout master of multiple troops including two simultaneously at Huntsville First Baptist Church. He received the distinguished Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America because of his impact on the lives of many boys through hard work, self-sacrifice, and dedication for many years. He was an excellent golfer and enjoyed playing with his sons up to last year. Jim will be ever greatly admired by his wife, three sons, three daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, immediately followed by the funeral service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, the family invites Jim Stull's friends and the Scouts from "Mr. Stull's" troops, to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association .4 He was born on August 1, 1920 at Straight Creek, Bell Co., Kentucky.3,4,5 He married Martha Unknown on August 12, 1941.4 James Travis "J. She was born and raised in Iuka. She worked for 30 years as a manager of telecommunications for BGSU, retiring in 1991. She was a member of American College & University Telecommunication Association. She married Charles Lee Allen Sr. on July 15, 1950, in Brandon. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Ed Temple will officiate. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Charles Lee Allen Sr; three sons, Chuck Allen of Weston, Ohio, Gary Allen of Pickerington, Ohio, and Steve Allen of Holgate, Ohio; one daughter, Vicki Capelle of Bowling Green, Ohio; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. on December 5, 2006.1
