Fink passed away peacefully at his home in Crab Orchard, on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Born on June 17, 1940, the son of the late Garner and Margaret Acord Fink, he grew up in Glen White until he joined the Army in 1957. He was a member of the Glen White Baptist Church. He retired from the military with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky., in 1978 having served tours in Panama, Dominican Republic, two in Vietnam and Okinawa with the 7th Special Forces Group, 1st. Special Forces, and 173rd Airborne Brigade, Germany with the 3rd Cavalry 11th Armed Calvary Regiment and 130th Engineer Brigade, and at Ft. Bragg, N.C., with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was awarded numerous awards and decorations, the most notable being the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. He was wounded in action during his 1st tour in Vietnam. Upon his military retirement, Jerry began his second career as the General Manager of the Raleigh County Memorial Airport until his retirement from that position in 1997. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and the love of his life of 54 years, Helen Greer Fink; his brother, Robert (Bobby) Fink and sister Linda Fink (and Willard) McGraw, all of Crab Orchard, his children, Cyndi Fink Tillinghast of Crab Orchard, Michael (and Devona) Fink of Columbia, S.C., Sherry (and Barry) Barajas of Beckley, and Jerry Lee (and Melissa) Fink of San Antonio, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Tyler (and Tabetha) Fink, Christopher Fink, Hannah Fink, Samantha (and Joe) Chapman, Savannah Barajas, Shannon Barajas, Candace Meadows, LaDawn (and Wesley) Hill, Heather (and Nick) Crissman, and Steven Fink; five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Haylee, Aubree, Tyson, and Tucker; and his best friend of 57 years, Johnny Richards of Glen White. Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at 2 p.m., with Pastors Kenneth Parent and Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 32 Honor Guard. The visitation will be on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Fink, USAF (Ret) Tech. Sgt. Jerry Lee Fink, Christopher Fink, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Tyler Fink, Joe Chapman, and Barry Barajas. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Fink, USAF (Ret.) Master Sgt. Steve McGraw, Greg McGraw, Willard (Coon) McGraw, Nick Crissman, and Johnny Richards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Jerry's name. on May 11, 2013.1

     Helen Marie Greer Helen Greer Fink, 78, of Crab Orchard, WV, was called home to be with the Lord, peacefully in her sleep, on Friday March 2nd, 2018. Born on March 30, 1939, at Fireco, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Greer and Amy McDaniel Greer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry R. Fink, her sisters, Audrey "Bootsie" Drumheller, and Lola "Belle" Belcher, and by a brother, James "Jimmy" Greer. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Fink attended Cranberry Baptist Church when health permitted. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Cyndi Fink Tillinghast of Crab Orchard, Michael (and Marty) Fink of Suffolk, Virginia, Sherry (and Barry) Barajas of Beckley, and Jerry Lee (and Melissa) Fink of San Antonio, Texas; ten grandchildren, Tyler Fink, Christopher Fink, Hannah Fink, Samantha Barajas, Savannah Barajas, Shannon Barajas, LaDawn (and Wesley) Hill, Heather (and Nick) Crissman, Steven Fink, and Candace Meadows; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Haylee, Aubree, Tyson, Tucker, and Brantley. Two brothers, Tommy Greer, of Hawthorne, Florida, and Kenny Greer, of Fireco, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at 2 PM with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.      Kenneth Lee Manning was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.3 He married Carolyn Unknown.1 Kenneth Lee Manning married Sue Unknown.3 Kenneth Lee Manning was born on July 6, 1947 at Fort Bragg, Cumberland Co., North Carolina.3,4 He died on September 14, 2014 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 67.3,4 He Kenneth Lee Manning, 67, of Sophia, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Bowers Hospice House. Even though he was paralyzed for eight years, it didn't slow him down a bit! He was born July 6, 1947 at Ft. Bragg, N.C. He was the son of the late Howard Kenneth "Sarge" and Hazel Fink Manning. Kenny was a retired mine foreman. He was a member of Clifftop Missionary Baptist Church, where his son, Keith, is the pastor. One of his greatest joys was working in the John and Romans Ministry of Bible Baptist Church. When he was not able to go to the mission center, his brother-in-law, Bill Fritz would bring the work to his house. Kenny never met a stranger. He touched so many lives by his outgoing and rambunctious personality. He loved to joke and tease. He loved all sports. He was an umpire at Babe Ruth field. Watching, cheering and harassing his relatives or friends participating in sports was a delight to Kenny. He loved hunting and fishing, and going to his camp on the river. He wanted everybody to come see him there. Kenny was enlisted into the Army by a special man; his own father, Sarge Manning. He served in Korea and Germany. While in Germany he served as his dad's military assisstant. He was in the military for four years. Kenny is survived by his sons, Keith Manning, wife Renee, of Beckley and Edward Manning and fiancé Sabrina of Wagoner, S.C. He is survived also by his grandchildren; Jeremy, Nicholas and wife Katelyn, Allen, Craig and wife Vicki; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Manning and wife Debby of Fairfield, ME, Dan Manning and wife Jan of Ellicott City, MD; sisters, Sherry Manning Smith of Beckley, Susie Fritz and husband, Bill, of Crab Orchard; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins whom he dearly loved; fiancé, Trilla Wills of Ghent and Sue Manning, the mother of his sons, of Beckley. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Bible Baptist Church, 2071 Robert C Byrd Dr., MacArthur, W.Va., with Pastor Vondie Cook officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at the church. Pallbearers will be Nick, Jeremy and Allen Manning, Matthew Smith, Todd and Adam Garlow. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to John & Romans Ministry, C/O Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 415, MacArthur, WV 25873 on September 18, 2014.3
