She was a person that if you knew her, you would always remember her. She taught us the value and rewards of a hard day's work. She will live on in all of us forever. The memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Lakes or Donor's Choice. Interment will be held privately at a later date at Fort Snelling cemetery. on February 9, 2003.¹

     David Lawrence Bunting was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Algona, Kossuth Co., Iowa.^2,3 He was born on August 5, 1937 at Algona, Kossuth Co., Iowa.³ He died on July 17, 1959 at Algona, Kossuth Co., Iowa, at age 21.² He Funeral services for David L. Bunting, 22, were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the McCullough's Funeral Chapel here. Reverand Newton Coughenour of the Methodist church officiated and burial was in Riverview cemetery. Pallbearers were Pete Langmack, Bill Fain, Alvin Christiansen, Bob Lampright, Don Hemmingsen and Arthur Glaser. The young man died Friday at St. Ann hospital here he had been ill for over a year with a brain tumor. He had undergone surgery and was able to be at home with his father here until about 2 weeks ago when he entered the hospital. David Lawrence Bunting was born August 5, 1937 in Algona, the son of Francis and Cleo Dennis Bunting. He was graduated from Algona high school with the class of 1955. Before he became ill he worked as a postal clerk. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are his father Francis Bunting, a railway postal clerk and Algona park commissioner, and one sister Mrs. Gene (Frances) Farrell of Maryville, Mo. on July 23, 1959.³
