June was born to Clyde and Anna (Burch) Morse on June 10, 1925 in Knoxville, Iowa. A member of the class of 1943, June graduated from Knoxville High School and entered the workforce as a relief operator for Western Union Telegraph Company in Des Moines. She worked in Chicago and Detroit. After returning to Knoxville. She married Robert L. Burton of Huntsville, MO. on September 21, 1950. They enjoyed time together in many southern states before a business partnership with the Morse Locker brought them back to Knoxville. June and Robert purchased a farm where they lived 40 years before returning to town (Knoxville). Arne worked for several area businesses and formally retired from the Knoxville Thermogas Company in 1987. June cherished her life-long teaming and fellowship with the First Christian Church of Knoxville and was a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by Robert Burton (Husband). Clyde and Anna Morse (Parents), Ronald Morse (Brother). and Dianne Hamersky (Granddaughter). Left to carry her memory are three sons and their wives; Gary (Jennifer) Burton of Joplin. MO. Bob (Lynda) Burton of Knoxville. Ralph (Maria) Burton of Independence. MO: her daughter, Aim (Dan) Harvey of Knoxville: 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren. one great-great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A burial celebration with Pastor Richard Grimes will be held at Knoxville's Graceland Cemetery on Wednesday. Feb. 1. 2017 at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial has been set up to benefit the Books for Seniors Program at the Knoxville Public Library in care of the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville. Morse, 76, of Kingston, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at his home. Born April 30, 1934, in Knoxville, Iowa, he was the son of Clyde and Anna Burch Morse. He married Jerry Allen on July 17, 1952. To this union, they were blessed with four boys Larry, Randy, Mike and Jeff. They later divorced. On June 25, 1983, he and Carol Schroeder were united in marriage. They were blessed with 27 years of marriage preceding his death. He owned and operated Morse Locker in Knoxville, Iowa, and a short time in Melcher-Dallas. He also worked for UPS for several years. In 1997, he and his wife moved to Tennessee, and he worked for Honda until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed playing pool and antique cars. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Luminary Methodist Church, both of Kingston. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Carol Morse, Kingston; four children and three spouses, Larry Morse, Randy and Marta Morse, Mike and Rachael Morse and Jeff and Kris Morse, all of Knoxville, Iowa; two stepdaughters and a spouse, Carrie Braasch, Davenport, Iowa, and Sara and Louie Mihal, Tacoma, Wash; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, June and Bob Burton, Knoxville, Iowa; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, in Winfield-Evans-McCleery Funeral Home, Knoxville, Iowa. Memorial service will follow, with Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to the family or Dollars for Scholars of Knoxville, Iowa. on December 10, 2010.2

     Geraldine Mae "Jerry" Allen and Ronald Clyde Morse were divorced.1 Geraldine Mae "Jerry" Allen Geraldine (Jerry) Mae Allen Morse was born on Sept. 11, 1933 in Monroe, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel and Ruby Bailey Allen. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1952. She married Ron Morse on July 17, 1952 at the Little Brown Church in, Nashua. Jerry worked for several years as a nurses aide at Collins Hospital and for the past 27 years she has owned and operated Jerry's Pizza in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her father. Jerry died November 14, 1990 at the Knoxvllle Area Community Hospital. She is survived by four sons: Larry, Randy, Mike and Jeff, all of Knoxville; her mother of Knoxville, two brothers: Bob Allen of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Jack Allen of Des Moines; four sisters: Darlene Bishop and Donna Park, both of Knoxville, Patty Laymon of Plano, Tex. and Sammy Smith of Eddyville; five grandchildren: Jeremy, Darren, Kyle, Dylan and Emily and many other relatives and friends.2 She was buried at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, Marion Co., Iowa.3 She was born on September 11, 1933 at Monroe, Jasper Co., Iowa.1,3 As of July 17, 1952,her married name was Morse.1 She married Ronald Clyde Morse, son of Marion Clyde Morse and Mary Anna Burch, on July 17, 1952 at Nashua, Chickasaw Co., Iowa.1,2 Geraldine Mae "Jerry" Allen died on November 14, 1990 at Knoxville, Marion Co., Iowa, at age 57.2,3

     Edward Larry Morse was buried at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, Marion Co., Iowa.4 He Edward “Larry” Morse of Knoxville, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his residence in Knoxville. A gathering to celebrate Larry’s life will be held from 5:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 27th, 2017, at the Winfield Funeral Home with Larry’s family present. Larry was born in February 24, 1953 in Knoxville, Iowa. He was the oldest son of Ronald Clyde and Geraldine Mae “Jerry” (Allen) Morse. Larry attended school in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 1971. After high school Larry lived in Pella and worked at Rolscreen for many years. Larry was also united in marriage to Kathy Christine Gray. They were blessed with one son Jeremy. After working at Rolscreen Larry worked at a few places around Marion County and the last 12 years he was a Dump Truck Driver for S & S Quarries. Larry loved to read and enjoyed road trips throughout the United States. For many years Larry also enjoyed riding and owning a Harley-Davidson. Those left to cherish Larry’s memories are his son, Jeremy Morse and his wife Jenny of Ankeny and their daughter Lilly; three brothers, Randy Morse and wife Marta, Mike Morse and wife Rachael, and Jeff Morse and wife Kris all of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Geraldine “Jerry” Morse. Memorials may be given in Larry’s name and may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.2 He married Kathy Christine Gray.2 Edward Larry Morse was born on February 24, 1953 at Knoxville, Marion Co., Iowa.2 He died on October 19, 2017 at Knoxville, Marion Co., Iowa, at age 64.2

     Robert Lee "Bob" Burton was buried at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, Marion Co., Iowa.3,4 He Robert Lee "Bob" Burton of Knoxville died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born Sept. 1, 1923 in Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri to Jesse and Amanda (Heather) Burton. Bob attended school in Huntsville, joining the United States Army in 1941. He was in the Field Artillery in Europe during World War II. After the war he returned to Huntsville where he was employed as a prospect driller. He married June Morse on September 21, 1950 in Knoxville. Bob and June traveled extensively throughout the southern United States, wherever his job required. They returned to Knoxvillle when he became a partner with his brother-in-law in the Morse Locker. He bought a farm and raised Black Angus cattle. Later he was emplyed by the Veterans Hospital in the maintenance and transportation department. After living and working on the farm for 40 years, Bob retired in 1987, when he and June moved to town. Bob was a 50 year member of both the American Legion and VFW. Left to mourn is Bob's wife of 61 years, June Burton of Knoxville; sons, Gary (Jennifer) Burton of Joplin, MO, Bob (Lynda) Burton of Knoxville, Ralph (Maria) Burton of Independence, MO; daughter, Ann (Dan) Harvey of Knoxville; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Binda Adams of Platte City, MO; sister-in-law, Louanna Burton of Brunswick, MO; sister-in-law, Carol Morse of Kingston, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and frineds. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; a sister; 2 sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and his oldest granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville, with Pastor Richard Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites provided by the American Legion Baty-Tucker Post 168 and VFW John Myers Post 3519. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12-2 pm Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville. Memorials may be directed to the Save Our Stadium Progran.3 He was born on September 1, 1923 at Huntsville, Randolph Co., Missouri.5,3,4 He married Nellie June Morse, daughter of Marion Clyde Morse and Mary Anna Burch, on September 21, 1950.1,2,3 Robert Lee "Bob" Burton died on February 10, 2012 at Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa, at age 88.5,3,4
