     Raymond Silas Dhority was buried at Moravia Cemetery, Moravia, Appanoose Co., Iowa.3,4 He was born on July 1, 1882 at Moravia, Appanoose Co., Iowa.2,3 He married Lee Etta Walker, daughter of Simon Sylvester Walker and Sela Caroline "Carrie" McKern, on February 24, 1909 at Walnut, Appanoose Co., Iowa.1 Raymond Silas Dhority died on November 19, 1940 at Mystic, Appanoose Co., Iowa, at age 58.3,4 He Raymond S. Dhority, a former resident of Moravia, died at 10:30 Tuesday night at his home in Mystic foJlowing an illness of a week. He was 68 years old. Mr. Dhority suffered a stroke last week, his third, and was unable to rally from it. Funeral services will be held at the Mystic Methodist church at 1:3O Thursday aftemoon. Burial wlll be in the Moravia cemetery. Opportunity will be given his friends here to view the remains at the cemetery. Mr. Dhority was born in Moravia July, 1882 and lived here a great part of his life. He was a blacksmith and followed his trade until ill health forced him to retire. Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Deloss of Centerville and Dallas of Ottumwa, and two sisters, Mrs. Freeman Weidman of Lanesboro, Minn., and Mrs. Frank Wilson of this community. His only brother, Elmer, died Feb. 18, 1939. on November 21, 1940.4

He had made his home here at 1710 20th Ave. Dhority was born Feb. 13, 1910, in Mystic, Iowa, where he attended school. He later lived in Centerville, Iowa, where he was with the Metropolitan Life lnsurance Co. prior to coming to Greeley. After having established Sunset Memorial Gardens here, he established Sunset Memorial Gardens in Sterling in 1954. In February, 1958, he was elected to the board of directors of Consolidated Industries Inc., an organization which, at that time, owned and operated Memorial Garden Cemeteries in Colorado, Utah, and ldaho. With that election, Dhority was also made general manager for Selected Investments Inc., in the Greeley area. A member of the First United Methodist Chureh here, Dhority was also a member of Elks Club BPOE, 809, the Greeley Chamber of Commerce, Greeley Lions Club and the Greeley Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Alyce Dhority, two daughters, Barbara Creagan of Newton, Iowa, and Mrs. Donna Lakin of Greeley; his mother, Mrs. Lee Etta Fulkerson of Denver; a brother, Dallas Dhority o£ Englewood, and six grandsons. Funeral arrangements are pending with Adamson Mortuary. on December 8, 1970.4
