     June Ella Cornelissen was buried at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, Gaston Co., North Carolina.⁴ She June Ella Cornelissen Stephens, age 78, of Lake Wylie, South Carolina and formerly of Gastonia, died at her home on Saturday, August 21, 2010. She was born in Bonsack, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Herman and Thelma Mills Cornelissen. June will be remembered by her beautiful smile, her love of her husband and family. When June was 50 she graduated from CPCC Nursing School. She worked many years at Belmont Abbey College Monastery. After a life traveling around the world while her husband was in the Air Force, the Stephens family settled in Gastonia. Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband of 60 years,Thomas D. Stephens; four daughters: Evelyn J. Hunt of Minnesota, Teresa K. Moose of Lowell, Susan S. Clements and husband Ronnie, Mary S. Gordon and husband Steve both of Belmont; four sons: Keith Stephens and wife Debbie Hyman of Tega Cay, South Carolina, James W. Stephens of Huntersville, Mike Stephens and wife Liz of Panama City, Florida, Chuck Stephens and wife Sharon of Gastonia; fifteen grandchildren and spouses; 7 ½ great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. Monday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia and at other times, the family will be at the home of Susan and Ronnie Clements, 16 Forest Hill Road, Belmont. Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Belmont with the Rev. Mark Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law: Nelson and Marie Cornelissen, two year old sister: Marie Evelyn Cornelissen; in-laws: James and Helen Stephens; son-in-laws: David Moose, Gary Hunt.      Houston Acie Trussler was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,5 His Social Security Number was 228-16-1368.⁶ He was born on January 19, 1910 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,6,2,3,4 He married Pearl Ellen Mills, daughter of William Thomas "Willie" Mills and Flora Mary Ann Manning, on January 27, 1930 at Stewartsville, Bedford Co., Virginia.¹ Houston Acie Trussler and Pearl Ellen Mills were divorced on October 30, 1947 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ Houston Acie Trussler died on October 29, 1991 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 81.^6,2,5 He Houston Acie Trussler, age 81, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday in a local hospital. He was retired from the Radford Army Arsenal and preceded in death by a son, Houston A. Trussler, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Georgie West Trussler; one brother, Garner William Trussler, Roanoke; three sisters, Gladys Trussler Starkey, Beatrice Trussler Adams and Marie Trussler Lowry, all of Roanoke; also three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a Regional Sales Manager, received the Millionaires Staff Award and also was awarded the Outstanding District Sales Management Award three years consecutively. He was preceded in death by two infant sons and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marjorie Geraldine Saunders Trussler; three children and their spouses, Sharon Renee' Trussler Perdue and Brady M. Perdue, Roanoke; Jeffrey L. Trussler and Lisa Smith Trussler, Raleigh, N.C; Brenda Sue Trussler, Virginia Beach; grandson, Jeffrey Thomas Trussler; his father and stepmother, Houston Ace, Sr. and Georgia West Trussler, Roanoke and his mother, Pearl Mills Trussler Bowles, Buena Vista. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel 11:00 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Burrell Baker, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. on October 14, 1990.⁶
