     Marguerite Thelma Turbin Marguerite Thelma Smallwood, of Louisa, died on May 6, 2017, at the age of 80. She is the beloved wife of 63 years to Frank W. Smallwood Sr; the mother of Frank Smallwood Jr., Rita Kinsey, Katherine Case, Ronald Smallwood and Donald Smallwood; grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a sister to Shirley Marr, Kathleen Horne, Mary Fitzgerald and Nancy Davis. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Marguerite was born in Keyser, West Virginia, and lived in Fairfax, Virginia, before settling in Louisa in 1981. She was an animal lover and enjoyed raising them. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa.³ She was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa, Louisa Co., Virginia.^4,3 She was born on November 4, 1936 at Keyser, Mineral Co., West Virginia.^1,4,3,2 As of December 16, 1953,her married name was Smallwood.¹ She married Frank Warren Smallwood Sr., son of Samuel Milton Light and Olgia Peredine "Olgie" Conner, on December 16, 1953 at Fairfax Co., Virginia; Frank lists his father as Luke Smallwood on his marriage record.^1,4,3 Marguerite Thelma Turbin died on May 6, 2017 at Virginia at age 80.^4,3

     Michael Carl Peoples was buried at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Fairfax Co., Virginia.² He was born on June 20, 1954 at Washington, D.C..^1,2 He married Rita Ann Smallwood, daughter of Frank Warren Smallwood Sr. and Marguerite Thelma Turbin, on October 1, 1977 at Vienna, Fairfax Co., Virginia.¹ Michael Carl Peoples died on October 27, 1981 at Fairfax, Fairfax Co., Virginia, at age 27.²

     Bazel B. Williams married Sarah S. Windsor, daughter of Thomas Windsor and Sarah Warden Simpson. Bazel B. Williams was born circa 1745 at Fairfax Co., Virginia. He I am almost certain that you are descended from Bazel B. Williams in Fairfax and I think I am too. I have written to one of Richard Williams' descendants, Walter C. Williams, (son of John Carrington Williams, Sr.) to see if he would do the Y-DNA test if I would pay for it. His name was on the obit of John Carrington Williams Jr. I looked in the White Pages and found his address. Hopefully he will do it. Then we can prove if our families are related. I am almost certain now that your family is from Bazel and Sarah Windsor Williams' family of Fairfax County, VA. In the 1810, census there was a Bazel and a Bazel Jr. listed. I found a picture of Bazel Jr's gravestone on Ancestry and it said he was the son of B. Williams. I found Bazel Jr's will and he said Richard and David Williams were his nephews and left them land. I found an article that said Richard sold his land that he got from his Uncle Bazel Williams. So if David and Richard were Bazel Jr's nephews and they were the sons of Cammilius; then Cammilius was Bazel Jr's brother and son of Bazel Williams Sr. In the 1850, Braxton County, WV census (it was still VA then) my G-grandfather Bazel and John B. and Mary Williams were neighbors. A mine bought up the property around them and Bazel and John left Braxton County. I can not find any more references of John and Mary except I found an article in a book were John and Mary Williams operated a toll gate in Fairfax and lived in the old Williams house by the toll gate. An old newspaper article about land for sale was sent to me that said Bazel Williams lived in the house by the toll gate and would show the land. I believe Bazel was John's father. John named his son Bazel Leroy and that Bazel was my G-grandfather. My Dad was also Bazzle Leroy Williams. In Fairfax court records Bazel B. Williams used the names Bazel and Boswell on the records and my g-Grandfather, Bazel, used the name Boswell on his Civil War Records. I remember hearing my Dad refer to himself as Boswell. My brothers' DNA matched with a Mike Williams in GA. Mike believes his ancestor, Aler Williams, came from Fairfax and he was the son of William Williams who came from MD. In the old tax rolls of Fairfax, Aler and Bazel are both listed. on March 1, 2017.⁶

     Her married name was Williams. Sarah S. Windsor married Bazel B. Williams, son of Aler/Alor Williams and Elizabeth Unknown. Sarah S. Windsor was born on March 20, 1745 at Fairfax Co., Virginia.

     Thomas Windsor was born circa 1714 at England.¹ He married Sarah Warden Simpson circa 1740.¹

     Sarah Warden Simpson Died on Saturday morning last, in Faifax County (Va) Mrs. Sarah Windsor, age 94.³ She was born circa 1718 at Prince William Co., Virginia.^1,3 She married Thomas Windsor circa 1740.¹ As of circa 1740,her married name was Windsor.¹ Sarah Warden Simpson died on January 25, 1812 at Fairfax Co., Virginia.³

     Bazel "Bazil" Williams Jr. was buried at Falls Church Episcopal Church Cemetery, 115 East Fairfax Street, Falls Church, Fairfax Co., Virginia.² He married Jane Unknown.² Bazel "Bazil" Williams Jr. was born circa 1776 at Fairfax Co., Virginia.¹ He died on December 14, 1854 at Alexandria, Virginia.^1,2

     Jane Unknown was buried at Falls Church Episcopal Church Cemetery, 115 East Fairfax Street, Falls Church, Fairfax Co., Virginia.¹ Her married name was Williams.¹ She married Bazel "Bazil" Williams Jr., son of Bazel B. Williams and Sarah S. Windsor.¹ Jane Unknown was born circa 1791.² She died on June 26, 1841 at Alexandria Co., Virginia.² She On Saturday evening last, about 9 o'clock, in Alexandria County, D.C. Mrs. Basil Williams, in the 50th year of her age. It may be satisfactory to her friends at a distance to know that, after an unusually long and painful illness, born without the slightest murmur or complaint, Mrs. Williams died in complete possession all of her mental faculties, full of hope, confidence, and joy; and if anything can be reconcile them to their irreperable bereavement, it is the confident assurance that thier loss is her infinite gain. With her, religion was not a cunningly devised fable, nor was it a matter of definite proof; but for many years she had made its precepts her eternal study, and a conformaty with all of its requirements the greatest object of her ????; in her sickness she was supported by its power, and in death "she knew in whom she had trusted;" she found that she had not leaned upon a broken reed, but that her strenght was placed in a power sufficent to rob death of its sting, and to ???? from the grave as victory. on June 30, 1841.²
