She was the wife of the late Van Paris Light. Born in Appomattox County, on April 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Bessie Wright and Josiah S. Burks. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. Christine was preceded in death by a son, Van O'Neil Light; a daughter, Norma Elaine Morris; four sisters; and four brothers. She is survived by four grandchildren, Karen Elaine Deegan, Billy J. Light, Crystal Kennedy, and Vanessa Christine Light; seven great grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Robinson Funeral Home by Pastor Jerry Childress. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
