He was born Feb. 10, 1930 in South Bend and had lived in the Buchanan area for the last nine years, coming from North Liberty. On Sept. 15, 1961, in South Bend, he married Virginia Michael, a who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Edith Weaver of South Bend; four sons, Robert, Ronald, Kenneth and James, and two daughters, Cynthia and Patricia, all at home; a brother, Lawrence of Lakeville, and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Murray of South Bend and Mrs. Chester Donath of Granger. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. Weaver was an employee of the Adams Engineering Co. He was a veteran the Korean War and a member St. Joseph Valley Lodge 45 F AM; York Rite of Niles; OES 332, Niles. on December 31, 1970.2

Beloved wife of Ervin Richards, Sr. Loving mother of JoAnn (Robert) Alvarez, Ervin Richards, Jr, late William Richards, and late Michael Richards. Cherished sister of Betty Jo, Clyde, Johnny, Libby, Donald, Tony, Stevie, Julie, Garcie, Diane, and Andy. Proud grandmother of Michael Crabtree, Wesley, James, Candice, and Sonny Richards, Robert Alvarez Jr., James Richards, Jason Emerson, Samantha Meador, and Lucas Richards. Devoted daughter of late John and late Susie Mills (nee Powell). Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Shirley worked at Roby Sales and Boulevard Discount together for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling and had a green thumb and loved "piddlin" in the garden. She was loved by many and will be missed by more. A private inurnment will be held at Cedar lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke, VA. on August 23, 2014.3

Richards, Sr., age 81, US Army Veteran of the Korean War, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Beloved husband of late Shirley M. Richards nee Mills. Loving father of JoAnn (Robert) Alvarez, Ervin Richards, Jr., late William Richards, and late Michael Richards. Cherished brother of Jacquline, Wayne, Vicki, Linda and late Dorothy. Proud grandfather of Michael Crabtree, Wesley, James, Candice, and Sonny Richards, Robert Alvarez, Jr., Jason Emerson, Samantha Meador, and Lucas Richards. Dearest great grandfather of eight. Devoted son of late Ervin W. and late Marie Richards nee Willis. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Ervin was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was hard working, enjoyed a shot and beer at the late Roby Tap. Ervin loved to travel, Hunt, and Alabama College football. Ervin was a lifelong steel hauler with 45 years in the business. He was loved by many and will be missed by more. A private interment will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke, VA. on January 23, 2015.4
