     Betty Ruth Sigmon Betty Sigmon Hubbard, age 76, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 20, 1947, a daughter of the late Omedel, Sr. and Bevoline Webb Sigmon and was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Hubbard; and her husband, Warren Hubbard. Betty was a member of Jehovah's Witness since 1970 and was known for her loving care and dedication of helping others leading her to become a CNA. She is survived by her two sons, Paul Hubbard (Kim) and Travis Hubbard (Ann); sister, Pat Conrad. brothers, Mike Sigmon (Sandra), and Omedel Sigmon, Jr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her beloved and cherished feline companion, Scarlet.⁴ She was born on June 10, 1947 at Franklin Co., Virginia; Her obituary has a birth date of Jun 20, 1947.^3,4 As of April 10, 1966,her married name was Hubbard.² She married Warren Edmond Hubbard on April 10, 1966 at Fieldale, Henry Co., Virginia.^2,4 Betty Ruth Sigmon died on March 28, 2024 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 76.⁴

     Warren Edmond Hubbard was born on April 1, 1943 at Fieldale, Henry Co., Virginia.^2,3 He married Betty Ruth Sigmon, daughter of Omedel Frederick Sigmon Sr. and Bevoline Marie Webb, on April 10, 1966 at Fieldale, Henry Co., Virginia.^1,4 Warren Edmond Hubbard died on December 29, 2018 at Virginia at age 75.² He Warren Edmond Hubbard, 75, of Rocky Mount, Va. fell asleep in death on Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was born in Fieldale, Va. at home on April 1, 1943, a son of the late George and Dora Trantham Hubbard, and was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Hubbard. Warren was a loving father known for being very mechanically gifted even helping build the camera system for Apollo 11. He was also known for his very mild and kind spirit along with a mischievous nature. He is survived by his sons, Paul Hubbard (Kim) and Travis Hubbard (Ann); and sisters, Wanda Pleasants and Julia Nixon. A memorial service will be conducted 4 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3626 Cove Road, Roanoke, VA 24017 officiated by Mr. Robert Fraim. on January 2, 2019.²

     Gertrude Ellon Frye was buried at Roselawn Burial Park, 103 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, Virginia.¹ She was born on December 13, 1925 at Surry Co., North Carolina.¹ As of June 20, 1945,her married name was Webb.² She married Lloyd Coy Webb, son of Abraham Lincoln "Jess" "Jessie" Webb and Alberta Mae "Abertie" Hale, on June 20, 1945 at Danville, Virginia.^1,2 Gertrude Ellon Frye died on October 15, 2015 at Danville, Virginia, at age 89.¹ She Gertrude Frye Webb formerly of 441 Church Ave., Danville, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 15, surrounded by a loving family. She passed away at the home of her son, Wayne Webb (Kathy), with whom she had resided for the past 6 months until her death. She was bom in Surry County, N.C. near Mount Airy on December 13, 1925. She was born to Elijah Frye and Pearlie Manring Frye. She was married to Loyd Coy Webb, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Moir Frye and RJ Frye; and two sisters, Octrola Frye Chitwood and Onabell Frye Wigginton. She is survived by three children, Wayne (Kathy) Webb of Gloucester, Va., Barbara Webb (Kenneth) Smith of Providence, N.C., and Sandra Webb of Alderson W.Va. She has five grandchildren, Carey Webb McManus of Gloucester, Va., Wayne (Beau) Webb Jr. of North Hollywood, Calif., Ellon Webb-Harvey of Suffolk, Va., Ashley Edge of Panama City, Fla., and Kenneth Smith Jr. of Providence, N.C; and two step grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Strickler of Avon, N.C., and Christopher (Ellen) Strickler of Stafford, Va. She has 11 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Hunter McManus, Delayne Dyson and Leland Webb-Dyson, Makaila, Christian, Tristan Edge; and step grandchildren, Abby, Chrissy, Scott, and Aubury Strickler. She is survived by one sister, Juanita Frye Davenport of Hampton, Va; and sister-in-law, Betty Frye of Union Hall, Va. Mrs. Webb also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. She worked in Dan River Mills for over 50 years in 4A Weave and later as a sitter for the elderly. Mrs. Webb was of the Baptist faith.The family appreciates the loving care given to our Mother by Kathy Webb, her sister, Mary Juanita Frye Davenport and Riverside Hospice of Gloucester until her death. Swicegood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Swicegood Funeral Home on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10 a.m., prior to the funeral which will be held at 11 a.m. at Swicegood. After the funeral, interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Martinsville, Va. Her family will be at the home of her daughter, Barbara, 20 Pritchett Dr., Providence, N.C. where Mrs. Webb lived for over 10 years. on October 17, 2015.
