     Andrew Leigh Martin Mr. Andrew (Andy) Leigh Martin, 50, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 at Rowan Regional Hospital. Mr. Martin was born in Giles County, Va. on March 15, 1964. He graduated from Narrows High School and also attended New River Community College. He served our country in the United States Army and the Reserves. Andy had a love for horticulture therefore leading to his employment for 17+years at The Garden Green House serving as manager. He was the happiest sharing his passion andknowledge of plants to all he encountered. He was not too fond of the color pink but still found his love of plants made him accept some pink blooms that he did enjoy. He was currently employed by Air General in Charlotte where he was freight manager. He was preceded in death by his twin, Angie Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his fiance, of the home, Steven Dillard and mother Sharon Britt; Andy's mother and step-father, Hazel (Bill) Fisher of Narrows, Va; Andy's father, Lawrence Martin of Madison Heights, Va; sisters, Lisa Emily, of Atlanta, Ga. and ReRe Martin of Salisbury; brother, Larry Martin of McDonough, Ga; step-sisters, Susan Fisher of Christiansburg, Va. and Alice Turner of Madison Heights, Va; step-brother, Rickey Fisher of Madison Heights, Va; and many nieces and nephews.      Timothy Wayne Case Timothy Wayne Case, 60, of Weyers Cave, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at UnityPoint Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Mr. Case was born on April 15, 1958, in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Mervlan and Mary Louise (Postalwait) Case. Timothy was employed as a foreman for Old Dominion Insulation and was a hard worker. He was a giver and never told anyone "no". Timothy spent every possible moment with his children and grandchildren because family was his life. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Case was preceded in death by an infant brother, Douglas Neal Case and a nephew, Daniel Case. Surviving are a daughter, Crystal Case and Bryan Mace of Verona; a son, Brian Case and his wife, Jessica, of Weyers Cave; three grandchildren, Collin Taylor, Cheyenne Samuel, and Anastasia Samuel; six siblings, Sharon Casto and her husband, Gary, of Craigsville, West Virginia, Larry Case and his wife. Mildred, of Churchville, Virginia, Mary (Shirley) Santomieri of Lyndhurst, Virginia, Terry Case of Montabello, Virginia, Patricia Case of Grottoes, Virginia, and Roger Case of Norfolk, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.² He was born on April 15, 1958 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,3,2 He married Saundra Kay Songer, daughter of John Donald Songer and Shirley Eloise Martin, on March 5, 1982 at Elliston, Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ Timothy Wayne Case and Saundra Kay Songer were divorced on October 21, 1992 at Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia.³ Timothy Wayne Case died on April 11, 2019 at Fort Dodge, Webster Co., Iowa, at age 60.²

Mrs. Martin was born on July 1, 1909 in Thessalia and was a daughter of the late Edwin Dills Dennis and Annie Minnick Dennis. Mrs. Martin was a lifetime resident of Giles County and was a member of Providence Methodist Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Martin and a son, Paul Rivers Martin. Mrs. Martin is survived by three sons and daughter-in-laws, Jerry Dennis and Johnnie Martin, of Fayetteville, N.C., Walter Raymond and Joanne Martin, of Pearisburg, Edwin Lee and Carolyn Martin, of Pearisburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Edna M. and Tom O'Brien, of Pearisburg; one brother, Paul Darr Dennis, of Pearisburg; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Burial to follow in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. on July 31, 2000.²

     Walter Raymond Martin Walter Raymond Martin, 74 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Heritage Hall Rich Creek, VA. Mr. Martin was born on January 20, 1944 in Thessalia, VA and was a son of the late Jerry Letcher Martin and Edna Dennis Martin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Joanne Miller Martin, two brothers, Paul Rivers (Chic) Martin and Edwin Lee (Cotton) Martin and two nephews, Greg O’Brien and Christopher Fields. Mr. Martin was a retired employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows and was a member of the Angels Rest Baptist Fellowship. He loved to go fishing in the local streams and also at Garden City Beach, SC., and he was an avid fan of the Giles High School Spartans. He is survived by one son, Darren W. Martin and his wife Joy Leigh of Pearisburg, one brother, Jerry Dennis Martin and his wife Johnie of Fayetteville, NC, one sister, Edna Mae O’Brien and husband Tom of Pearisburg, one sister-in-law, Carolyn (Tiny) Martin, one grandchild, Dakota Edward Stanley and his wife Amanda, one great grandchild, Anamine Elizabeth Stanley, three special nieces, Haley, Kylie, Rylie Johnson and other several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martin was born on November 5, 1945 in Honaker, VA and was a daughter of Virginia Cook Boyd and the late Beecher Elbert Miller. Mrs. Martin was a member of Angels Rest Baptist Fellowship and had a great love of teaching Sunday School. She also was an avid Giles High School Spartan football fan, did a lot of volunteer work at Macy McClaugherty elemetery school and loved her many trips to the ocean with her family and friends. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband of 50 years, Walter Raymond Martin of Pearisburg, one son, Darren W. Martin and wife JoyLeigh of Pearisburg, two brothers, Lewis Miller and , Randy Miller both of Dublin, two sisters, Linda Altice and husband Mike of Salem, Kathy Dye and husband Tim of Pulaski, one grandson, Dakota Stanley-Martin of Pearisburg and three special nieces, Haley, Kylie and Rylie Johnson. He was born February 8, 1922 in Giles County, Va., the son of the late Clyde and Sally Ball Eaton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Sadler Eaton. He was a Army Veteran of World War II, a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and Wabash Lodge #189 IOOF. He is survived by his daughter, Mary E. Anderson of Staffordsville; one brother, Joe (Bill) Eaton of Highland Ridge Rehab Center, Dublin; one sister, Mary Poff Wallace of Little Rock, Ark; one half sister, Anna Sue (Van) Davis of Salem; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
