     Emily Marie Jones was buried at Fair View Cemetery, 3300 Melrose Ave. N.W., Roanoke, Virginia.² She was born on March 17, 1944 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,3 She married Elwood Damon "Woody" Dooley, son of Damon Odell Dooley and Elizabeth Lucille Steber, on March 23, 1962 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ As of March 23, 1962,her married name was Dooley.¹ Emily Marie Jones died on July 25, 2008 at Virginia at age 64.^3,2 She Emily Marie Jones Dooley, 64, of Roanoke, went to be with her heavenly Father Friday, July 25, 2008. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Wilson and Big Dale, Melissa Dooley and Shorty; grandchildren, Rocky and Dale Dooley, Joseph and Clifton Delp, Lisa Tedder and Thomas, Gregory and Dustin Delp; seven greatgrandchildren; and several siblings. A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Oakeys Vinton Chapel with Pastor Daniel Boone officiating. Burial to follow in Fair View Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents Angus and Odell Mays, brother Thelbert Mays, and sister Lorraine Hale. Junior is survived by his wife of 64 years, Myrtle Mays; daughters, Sherry Smith and husband, Robert, of Roanoke, and Mary Sparks and husband, Buddy; grandchildren, Julia Huffman, Ellen Cabaniss, Robbie Smith, and Joshua Sparks; as well as eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Simpson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Junior's life at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Simpson Funeral Home with the Joshua Sparks and Robbie Smith officiating. Interment will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on August 27, 2013.⁴

     Lorraine Mays was born on June 21, 1936 at Bent Mountain, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,4 As of January 12, 1952,her married name was Hale.¹ She married Wallace Hale, son of Samuel "Sim" Hale and Crettie Ann Manning, on January 12, 1952 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,5 Lorraine Mays died on December 26, 2010 at Nebraska at age 74.⁴

Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel, 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2002. The Rev. Karen Warren will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. on March 7, 2002.⁶
