     Mildred Ann Epperly Mildred Ann Epperly Selvey Vernon, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at home following an extended illness. Born on Feb. 10, 1928, in Fayetteville, she was the daughter of the late Henry Phillip and Flossie Ann Roles Epperly. Mrs. Vernon was a member of the Fayetteville Presbyterian Church and the Women's Church Circle. She graduated from Fayetteville High School, WV Institute of Technology and Charleston Hospital for Nursing. She had 43 years of nursing in hospitals, factories, schools and clinics, and she served in the U.S. Army Nurses Corp. Mrs. Vernon enjoyed her children, grandchildren, gardening, painting, sewing, outdoors and nursing. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Boyd Selvey Jr; parents, H. P. "Dink" Epperly and Flossie Roles Epperly; and one sister, Vella Jo Epperly Peterson. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John T. Vernon of Fayetteville; three sons, Charles Boyd Selvey III of Princeton, David Blayne Selvey of Greensboro, N.C., and Chris Selvey of Fayetteville; one daughter, Peggy Selvey Franklin of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Vernon was a donor to West Virginia University Medical School at Morgantown, W.Va.1 Her Social Security Number was 236-40-3106.9 Her married name was Vernon.1 She married John T.      Peggy Ann Selvey Peggy Ann Selvey Franklin (Gherke), 57, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born on September 19, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Charles Boyd Selvey Jr. (1986) and Mildred Selvey Vernon (2008). Peggy was a lifetime member of Fayetteville Presbyterian Church. She was a 1977 graduate of Fayetteville High School, 1981 graduate of Fairmont State, and 1990 graduate of Marshall University. Peggy was a counselor and teacher for 35 years in WV and NC. For the last 15 years was employed by the Fayette County Board of Education. Teaching and counseling were her passion. She loved working and coaching children. She enjoyed all outdoor recreations and spending time with her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Bernard Franklin of Rupert in 1988. Left to cherish many wonderful memories include her daughter, Whitney Ann Franklin of Fayetteville; three brothers: Charles B.      William Keith Hunt was buried at Hunt Family Cemetery, Victor, Fayette Co., West Virginia.2 He William Keith Hunt, 90, of Victor passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at CAMC General Hospital. Born on January 11, 1930, he was the son the late Seth William Hunt and Lela Warren Hunt. Keith worked at Union Carbide/Elkem Metals for 42 years as a welder and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a long time member of the Sunday Road Baptist Church. Keith loved farming and, more so, his Leaning “H” Farm. Over the course of 40 plus years he took pride in his multiple awards from Grassland Achievement excellence to Southern Soil Conservation District excellence awards and Farmer of the Year. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #57 where he achieved the status of 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Adair (Epperly) Hunt. Surviving children, Scott (Julia) Spradlin of Chesterfield, Missouri and Angela (Gene) Krise of Fayetteville, WV; grandchildren Aaron and Hunter Krise of Fayetteville, WV and Sarah (David) Liu and Alexander Spradlin of Chesterfield, Missouri; one great grandchild, Maeve.
