Bud retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Salem. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans. Bud was an avid outdoors man who loved hunting, fishing and a longtime member of Lame Buck Hunt Club. He loved being outdoors and working in his yard, garden and flowers. Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Delores (Dee) Shepherd Diamond. He is survived by his son, Allan Diamond whom he was a loving father to; his daughter-in-law, Jessica Elaine; two grandchildren, Ashley Diamond Rakes (Jason) and Chris Diamond (Ashley); also many nieces and nephews; longtime friend and hunting buddy, Joe Golding. Funeral services celebrating Bud's life will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at Lotz Chapel in Salem with Pastor Dan Netting officiating.
