     Stella Ruby Bruce was buried at Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery, 631 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia.³ Her married name was Lilly.⁵ She was born on March 2, 1918 at Mercer Co., West Virginia.^2,6,5 She married DeForrest Shelbourne Lilly on November 20, 1936 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,5 Stella Ruby Bruce died on November 11, 2010 at Virginia Beach, Virginia, at age 92.^6,3,7 She VIRGINIA BEACH - Stella B. Lilly, 92, of the 2900 block of Lynnhaven Drive, passed away Nov. 11, 2010 in a local hospital. A native of Mercer County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John and Vera Bruce and the widow of DeForrest Lilly. Mrs. Lilly was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church and was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Women and a past president of the organization. She was a member of Bayside Chapter No. 181, Order of the Eastern Star and past matron of Mullens Chapter No. 100 of Mullens, W.Va. She was an active member of the Ocean Park Woman's Club, having served in many capacities. Mrs. Lilly was also a member of Lynnhaven Colony Garden Club. Her favorite past time was playing mah-jongg with her friends and cooking. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. Howard of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Robert B. Lindquist of Virginia Beach and Michael S. Lindquist of Morehead City, N.C; a sister, Wanda B. Akers of Chester, Va; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral with an Eastern Star Service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, with the Rev. Ted David and the Rev. Deborah Clark officiating. The entombment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Baylake United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. on November 14, 2010.³

     Juanita Frances Bruce was buried at Beal Memorial Cemetery, 316 NW Beal Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Co., Florida.³ Her Social Security Number was 231-05-5379.² She was born on January 27, 1920 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ As of circa July, 1940,her married name was Ravan.² She married Unknown Ravan circa July, 1940.² As of October 18, 1987,her married name was Bradley.⁴ Juanita Frances Bruce married Claude Stanford Bradley on October 18, 1987 at Okaloosa Co., Florida.⁴ Juanita Frances Bruce died on March 8, 2005 at Florida at age 85.^2,3

     Julia Katherine "Judy" Naff was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.³ She was born on March 23, 1924 at Virginia.^2,3 As of August 16, 1968,her married name was Jennings.² She married Donald Taylor "Don" "Pop" Jennings, son of John Malcolm Jennings and Elizabeth Alice Taylor, on August 16, 1968 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 Julia Katherine "Judy" Naff died on October 30, 2022 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 98.³ She Julia Naff Jennings, March 23, 1924 - October 30, 2022. Julia Naff Jennings, 98, of Salem, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2022. A native of Virginia, she was the wife of the late, Donald Taylor Jennings and the last of eight children to Daniel Thomas Naff and Nora Montgomery Naff, both deceased. She was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church for many years. Julia served the church as a deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, various committee chairs, WMU, and she represented the church at local meetings for the Virginia Baptist Association. She enjoyed bus trips, sewing and crafts. Julia was active serving the Rescue Mission and the RAM house. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Donna P. "Patty" King and Winfred T. "Tommy" Anderson; seven siblings; and her granddaughter, Angela Kay Anderson. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Judy P. Anderson; three sons, Donald Malcolm Jennings (Brenda), Richard Nelson Jennings (Valerie), and Gregory Stuart Jennings (Angie); daughter, Glenna Beth Jennings; four grandsons, Donald Wayne Jennings, John Thomas Cook (Olivia), Jason Jennings (Lindsey), and Anthony Jennings; seven granddaughters, Danielle Hale (Chris), Jennifer Bennett (Dean Hodges), Tracy A. Wray (Doug), Amy Williams (Steve), Kelly Jennings, Stephanie Jennings (Brian), and Michelle Marshall (Tonk); 20 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. on November 2, 2022.³

     Thelma May Schonebaum was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.³ She was born in 1902 at Putnam Co., West Virginia.³ As of July 6, 1921,her married name was Harler.² She married Claude Browning Harler on July 6, 1921 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,5,3 Thelma May Schonebaum died on August 23, 1929 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.³

     His Social Security Number was 235-07-7083.⁴ Delbert Ray Thompson was buried at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.³ He was born on April 1, 1918 at Dun Loop, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^4,2,3 He married Lula Ethel Coleman, daughter of James Nathan "Nate" Coleman and Eleanor Mae Dooley, on September 10, 1937 at Cranberry, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,3 Delbert Ray Thompson died on May 18, 2001 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 83.^4,3 He Delbert Ray Thompson, 83, of Bradley, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, following a short illness. Born April 1, 1918, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late John M. Thompson and Daisy Moran Thompson. Mr. Thompson was retired from Raleigh County Board of Education with 21 years of service. He was a member of Bradley Free Will Baptist Church at Bradley, where he served as deacon, trustee and Sunday school superintendent. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Toney and Anna Broyles. Survivors include his wife, Lula Coleman Thompson; a daughter, Loretta Lafferty and her husband, Richard, of Beckley; a grandchild, Velinda Newman of Oak Hill; two great-grandchildren, Linzie Newman and Stacie Jeffries, both of Oak Hill; and two sisters, Jean Roland and her husband, Clyde, of Waynesboro, Va., and Robin Campbell of Brooksville, Fla. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bradley Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Legg officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Deacons of the church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope.
