He is survived by his wife, Lois Jeanette Dunman; son, Troy Dunman of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Anna Marie and James Ledford of New Castle; granddaughter, Brittany Ledford; parents, Raymond Ray and Nellie Annie Kathleen Hartman Dunman of Roanoke County; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Dave Lovern of Roanoke; special friend and uncle, Gene Hartman; many loved aunts, uncles; many special nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Eddie (Thelma) Petty of Natural Bridge, and Danny (Debbie) Petty of Rich Patch, and Chaplain Donald R. Staton of Va. Beach; stepsons, Randy Hayslett and Ralph Hayslett, III; and three stepgrandchildren. Faye was born February 22, 1950 in Martinsville to the late Eugene Arthur Emerson and Sally Evelyn Meador Emerson. Faye leaves behind a son, Anthony “Tony” Easterling and wife Tina; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Faye accepted the Lord as her savior at the age of 21. She loved reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. She loved to paint and make bread and butter pickles for her son, and homemade chocolate chip cookies for her grandkids.
