She had shown some improvement and friends and relatives were hopeful that she would continue to gain. She was stricken suddenly early yesterday afternoon and died within a few minutes. Mrs. Gregg was born in Santa Rosa, a daughter of the late James W. Gray. She was a sister of Lillian Gray, Mrs. Angie Downs and George Gray, who survive her. Her husband, Nelson Gregg, died many years ago. The body was removed to the Welti funeral parlors, where funeral arrangements are pending. Since her retirement from teaching Mrs. Gregg had made her home with her sister in College avenue here. on July 23, 1946.⁴

Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Grain Valley, 207 W. Walnut, Grain Valley, MO where she was an active member. Visitation at 12pm at the church. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. on January 19, 2014.²
