He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clayburn, Trent “Elmore” and Bernard Shumake and a sister, Arlean Epperly. Survivors include his wife, Pansy Jane Argabright Shumake; a daughter, Katrina D. Heflin-Smither of Hilltop, and three grandchildren, Joshua J. and Brittaney K.D. Wiolland and Scott J. VanDress, all of Akron, Ohio. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jarrold Lanham officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robert Epperly, Randy Derringer, Carl and Paul Hanning, Tim Lepto, Wayne Byrge and Frank Hartenstein. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by the Oak Hill Lodge No. 120 AF and AM. on January 22, 1994.6
