     Gary Lee Robinson was born on July 9, 1936 at St. Louis, Gratiot Co., Michigan.2 He died on January 17, 2008 at Gulfport, Harrison Co., Mississippi, at age 71.1,2 He Gary Lee Robinson, age 71 and a resident of Biloxi, died on Thursday, January 17, 2008 in Gulfport. Mr. Robinson was born on July 9, 1936 in St. Louis, Michigan. He resided in Alma, Michigan for most of his life and graduated from Alma High School. He was a building contractor for Robinson Construction Company. He was a Building and Trade Instructor for the Alma School System for three years. He retired from the Alma Volunteer Fire Department after 31 years of service. After retirement, he moved to Biloxi, MS where he resided for the past 9 years. He is survived by his children, Teresa (Tim) Schuiling, David (Cheryl) Mercado, Jeffrey (Chera) Robinson, and Chris Mitchell; his brothers, Robert Robinson and Dean Robinson; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit thirty minutes prior to the service. on January 20, 2008.2

     Naomi Virginia Roberts was buried at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on October 31, 1921 at Spencer, Roane Co., West Virginia.2,3 As of May 29, 1948,her married name was Robinson.1 She married Charles Elba Robinson, son of Silas Porter Robinson and Ida Mae Dodd, on May 29, 1948 at Winfield, Putnam Co., West Virginia.1,2 Naomi Virginia Roberts died on September 25, 2014 at West Virginia at age 92.2,3 She Naomi Virginia Roberts Robinson, went home to be with her Savior Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the home of her loving caregivers, Dawn and Lee Spears. Naomi was born October 31, 1921, on Stover Creek, Spencer, to the late James Navel Craig and Icie Mae Blackwell Roberts. Her husband, Charles Elba Robinson to whom she was married 45 years preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death in addition to her husband and parents, were her son, Nelson Paul Bailey; brothers, Delbert Roberts and Daniel Roberts; grandchildren, Cynthia Jo Hubbard and Richard Charles Hubbard; and great-granddaughter, Dr. Heather Jo Hubbard. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Robinson and Darrell Buttrick of Elkview, with whom she made her home for over fifteen years, and Anna Mae Robinson and Richard Hubbard of Walton; her grandchildren, Michael James Hubbard I and wife, Diana of Walton, Rick Bailey of Akron, Steven Bailey and wife Tonja, of Parkersburg, Nelson Bailey Jr. and wife, Carlena of Akron, Aaron Bailey of Akron, and Paula Lee Akers and husband, Danny of Akron; great grandchildren, Douglas Hubbard and wife, Lindsey, Michael James Hubbard II, Anna Hubbard Shaffer and husband, Mark, Christopher Hubbard Quigley, Nikki Mills, Rickey Bailey II, Matthew Bailey, Cherrell Stevenson, Emily Bailey, James Bailey, Joshua Akers and Daniel Akers. She was blessed with six great-great grandchildren and was awaiting the birth of Harper Jo Hubbard in December. She is also survived by two granddaughters-in-law, Sherri Catalina Hubbard and Lora Morehead. Her best friend and traveling buddy, Jean Walton of Charleston, also survives her. Naomi started working for the Kroger Company at an early age. In 1957, she and her husband, Elba, opened Robinson's Super Market in Walton and ran a successful business for twelve years before the business was destroyed by fire in 1969. She later retired from the West Virginia Hospital Association. She was a member of Thelma Chapter #24 Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Walton Rebekah Lodge #25. She was a charter member of the Red Foxy Ladies Red Hat Society. She was a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston and a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Charleston. She loved animals particularly cats and lost her constant feline companion of 19 years Miss Sheba in July 2014. The family wishes to especially thank Dawn Spears for the love and care which she provided for Naomi. When Naomi needed around the clock care, Dawn took her into her home and cared for her; but more than that, Dawn's and Lee's entire family loved Naomi and called her "Ma maw". Dawn's children and especially her grandchildren were a joy and blessing to Naomi. Others who provided love and care were Kayla Roush Boatwright, her first caregiver; Sandy Moore, and Michelle Murray. All of these folks have become a loving part of our extended family. Thanks also to Naomi's Hospice Nurse, Jill and to Hospice Chaplain Pete Thompson and many others associated with her hospice care. All of these individuals made Naomi's last days, peaceful and loving. Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, September 28, at Matics Funeral Home in Clendenin with Reverend Janet Harmon and Chaplain Pete Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park in Big Chimney. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service. If you attend the service, please wear red/purple, Halloween colors and a hat as she loved bright colors and hats and her Halloween birthday. Flowers are welcome, but donations are preferred to Hospice Care of the Kanawha Valley, Ronald McDonald House Charites of Southern West Virginia or to the Kanawha Charleston Animal Shelter. Matics Funeral Home in Clendenin is serving the Robinson family. on September 27, 2014.2

     Richard Charles "Rick" Hubbard married Sherri Unknown.2 Richard Charles "Rick" Hubbard married Charlotte Unknown.3 Richard Charles "Rick" Hubbard was born on July 24, 1951 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.4,2 He died on December 13, 2008 at Palm Beach Co., Florida, at age 57.4,2 He Richard Charles "Rick" Hubbard, 57, of Florida, formerly of Spencer, died suddenly at his home on Dec. 13, 2008. He was born July 24, 1951, in Charleston, a son of Richard and Ann Hubbard of Walton. Rick was a graduate of Walton High School and Glenville State College and taught and coached in Spencer for 23 years. He also served as a Roane County Commissioner and as the Roane County Tax Assessor, among his many civic duties. He relocated to Palm Beach County, Fla., in 1997, and spent the last 11 years and a teacher and eventually as the athletic director at William T. Dwyer High School. In addition to his parents, Rick is survived by his wife, Sherri; his children, Dr. Heather Hubbard of Morgantown and Doug Hubbard of Perry, Fla; special "daughter," Lora Morehead; his grandmother, Naomi Robinson; special aunt and her husband, Margaret and Darrell Buttrick of Pinch; his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Diana Hubbard, and their children, Anna and Michael James, of Clendenin; stepchildren, Nikki Mills, Matthew Richard, Veronica Richard, Carly Clark and Jennifer May, all of Florida; and his nephew, his deceased sister's son, Chris Quigley of Walton. Rick was predeceased by his sister, Cindy Hubbard; his maternal grandfather, Charles E. Robinson; and his paternal grandparents, Howard and Mamie Hubbard. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Per his request, the body was cremated. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Prior to the service, a memorial service will be held at the William T. Dwyer High School auditorium in Florida on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Roane County High School Athletic Department, Raider Way, Spencer, WV 25276. on December 16, 2008.2

     Dr. Heather Hubbard married Lora Morehead.1 Dr. Heather Hubbard died on March 30, 2014 at West Virginia.2 She Dr. Heather J. Hubbard passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, after an extended illness. Dr. Hubbard is survived by her daughter, Sara, and wife, Lora, both of Morgantown, as well as her mother and stepfather, Charlotte and Russell Smith of Lee, Fla; her brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Lyndsey Hubbard of Jacksonville, Fla; stepmother, Sherri Hubbard of Jupiter, Fla; stepsister, Nikki Mills of Jupiter, Fla; and grandparents, Richard and Anna Hubbard of Walton. She was preceded in death by her father, Rick Hubbard, in 2009. Dr. Hubbard was a 1999 graduate of Roane County High School, a 2006 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine, and completed her residency in family medicine at West Virginia University in December 2009. At that time, she became a staff physician with the Clark K. Sleeth Family Medicine Center (WVU). Dr. Hubbard won numerous academic awards over the years, was awarded a Bravo! Award as a faculty member at WVU and was honored with the Press Gainey award for patient care. Dr. Hubbard thoroughly enjoyed travel, painting and creating pottery, spending time with family and attending Mountaineers sporting events. A special thanks goes to Dr. Michael Craig, the staff at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and the nurses on 9 West and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at WVU Hospitals. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Morgantown on Thursday, April 3. A visitation gathering will occur at 5:30 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. service to follow. An additional memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer. A visitation gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. on April 2, 2014.2

     Burl Roy Robinson Jr. Burl Roy Robinson, Jr, age 75, of St. Louis, went to be with his Savior on Friday, March 28, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born September 6, 1938 in Alma the son of Burl Roy and Lois Marie (LaBonville) Robinson. Burl was a 1956 graduate of Alma High School and served his country in the United State Marine Corp during the Korean War from 1956 until his honorable discharge, serving at stations in Japan and Guam. On November 12, 1971 he was married to Donna Rahl Brondstetter at the Merrill Congregational Church. Burl worked as the Head Computer Operator of Building 564 for Dow Chemical, retiring in 2001 after 34 years of service. He was a very active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alma. Burl enjoyed his daily trips to McDonalds to meet his friends for coffee, doing carpentry and working in his garage. He was known as the Greatest Volunteer for his willingness to help others. Burl especially loved spending time with his family and was always his grandchildren’s biggest fan including all his grandpets. Burl is survived by his wife of 42 years; Donna of St. Louis, three children; Steven (Tracy Bryan) Rahl of Zeeland, Deb (John) Norton of St. Paul, MN and Lisa (Darren) Fish of Alma, five grandchildren; Marni (Mike) Ostrom, Kelly Hurt, Ashlee, Trent and Gavin Fish, three great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Mitchell and Emma, three sisters; Leah “Tootie” (Henry) Glazier, Cathy Evitts and Linda (Max) Johnson all of Merrill, four sisters-in-law; Fern Robinson of Florida, Joy Robinson of Minnesota, Denyce (Jody) Travis of Ithaca and Jolayne Brondstetter of Alma and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Richard, Paul “Ed” and Charles Robinson and his mother and father-in-law, Joe and Doris Brondstetter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11 am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor John Eich officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31st from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma.
