A Public Service spokesman said Chatham went to the 12th floor office this morning some minutes in advance of the time set for a conference he was to attend. When others to attend, the conference arrived, the spokesman said, they found the hall door locked on the inside. Police said Chatham's brief case was found in Pine street near the body. Chatham, who was born in Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Wllliamsport, Pa., high school and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, became affiliated with Public Service, in 1922 as cadet engineer. A resident of Pomander Walk, Nutley, Chatham is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Reed Chatham, and a 13 year old daughter, Encie Lou. on June 8, 1945.⁴
