He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Kimberly Clark with thirty-one years of service and he was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and their Joy Sunday School Class. Before his health declined, Mr. Doug enjoyed camping and fishing. Surviving with his wife Janice, is his mother, Mrs. Alice Ferrell, Aiken, SC; his daughter, Beth Ferrell and his son Michael Ferrell, Jr, both of Beech Island, SC; a sister, Connie Ferrell, of Aiken, SC and his grandson, Colton Ferrell, of Beech Island, SC. Graveside services will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
