Among the mnay posts she has held include, President, Salem Women's Club; Chairman, Board of Trustees, Salem Women's Club; President, Blue Ridge District of the Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs; Parliamentarian, Blue Ridge District, Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs; President, Andrew Lewis High School Parent Teacher Association; President, Roanoke County Council of Parent Teacher Associations; President, Women's Missionary Society, Calvary Baptist Church; and Sunday School Teacher, Calvary Baptist Church. Among her awards are Honorary Life Member of the Virginia Congress of Parents and Teachers, Andrew Lewis High School Parent Teacher Association and she has been listed in "Virginia Lives" and in "Community Leaders of Virginia." She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Thurman Belyea of Clifton; and three grandchildren, Ren Belyea Richardson of Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Byard Charles Belyea, III, and Edgar Barrett Belyea, both of Clifton. She is also survived by her sister, Mozelle R. Dobyns of Salem; and brother, Calvin Reynolds of Vinton. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Osteoporosis Foundation, 1232 22 N D Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20037-1292, in her memory. Services will be held at the Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Wednesday, January 17, at 3 p.m. with Dr. Harry Y. Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
